Volvo V60 D3 Tires

Sadly unimpressed. I was really looking forward to getting these on the car replacing some worn summer Falkens', now I can't wait to get them off. They grip really well in all conditions; wet, dry and a bit of snow nor letting go at all. Problem is that I find them noisy, uncomfortable kind of rumbling going on. While the grip seems to always be there it is hard to know what they are doing giving numb feeling to the steering and lack of feedback just makes exploring the limits an uncertain affair. Summary is plenty grip all round, but noisy, uncomfortable and boring. Sorry! I wanted to be able to be excited by these tires, but can't find any enthusiasm for them at all. Previous experience was of Maxxis all seasons which were fun to drive on, not as noisy, plenty more comfortable, plenty grip and the feedback to play with that grip.

These tires are alot better then I expected them to be. Previous tires on the Volvo were Michelin CC2. These Pirelli's have much better grip in dry and wet also braking is noticably better, they seem to bite themselves on the road. Road feedback is very good with sharp steering. This allseason is the closest I've had to a summertire feeling.

The CC2 were quite loud, I thought the big wheelsize had alot to do with it aswell, however the cabin at the moment is almost whisper quiet. In my occasion even on rougher roads, Belgium has mix of asphalt but also old concrete roads with alot of potholes and thick seams. Low or high speed, they stay nice and quiet. The comfort also has increased alot more then expected (on a 19" rim). The CC2 made the car feel nervous and jittery (no defects on them), now the car feels more relaxed and planted, not every bad road imperfection is passed down to the cabin.

Fuel impact doesn't seem to have changed. But maybe a bit early to tell.

Recommend this (and the continental allseasoncontact 2) over a Michelin anyday.

Grip is fantastic couldn’t get them to slip or aquaplane before temperatures fell below 10c in the wet

Purchased 4 of these for my Volvo V60 R Design and was surprised how queit they were. Pottering about they're fine and in the wet again, fine. If you push on when wet they do tend to lose grip easier than others I've had but on a family shuttle bus they're adequate. I have unfortunately had to remove them with 4mm tread because they have developed cracking between the tread. Would I buy again? Probably not, my next tires are Vredestein Ultrac Satin ready to go on tomorrow so I'm yet to try.

I've used a Avon's for years now and quality has certainly done downhill. I can't fault them for breaking and aquaplaning resistance is very high. The main issue is really strange wear pattern that has caused me having to change the tires prematurely, I think that this might be down to them using a softer compound in the middle of the tire however it is way too soft if it is the case. Yes I have covered a distance in his tires, however the outer bands still have 5 mm of trees left. And the tires are anything but over inflated, and the wear has only occurred within the past 6 months If these tears were the same quality as years ago yes I would say buy them. However they certainly are cheaper. However still got the price tag.

Initially an ok tire. Now after 5k miles acceleration in wet weather my vehicle struggles to put the power down. I don’t think the tires will last longer than 10k miles

Factory fitted tires from new. Comfortable tire used for mostly motorway driving, but also A/B roads. Handle well under normal driving conditions both wet and dry. Have worn well, 29k miles on the front. Rear tires still plenty of tread left.

Great tires, and been used in the snow. Perform very well, and very impressed with the price and quality here. Used on a Volvo V60 & a SAAB 9-3. No problems at all, if a little noisy at times but not really a problem. Will look to buy same brand summer tires also.

Very capable tires. Nice handling. Liked them a lot. Except the comfort. Changed to Primacy 4, which not a miles ahead, but step better in terms of comfort. Smell from Michelin is better too.

Awesome 4 season tires, manufactures have improved the quality of these kind of tires and they are almost similar to a winter tire. I am impressed about grip on all scenarios, specially on wet roads like the ones that we have in luxembourg, nice comfort, almost no noise if you compare them with my old uniroyal winter tires...

Normal tires in dry conditions, far from a top tire but decents. With water/rain grip is not good at all.
Not recommended.
