Tesla 2024 Model 3 RWD Tires

The Michelin Primacy 5 is an exceptionally comfortable and quiet daily tire that excels at soaking up bumps while maintaining impressively low noise levels over time. It offers great efficiency through low rolling resistance and proves highly durable, showing only ~1mm of wear at its current mileage. While it is a safe and reliable choice for the commute, the highly isolated road feel—while excellent for cabin refinement—means it lacks the confidence and precision required for fast cornering or dynamic lane changes.

I have replaced original summer tires (Michelin ePrimacy) with Nokian tires.
Noise: I don't know why but Nokians are much noisy between 30 and 70 km/h. Above 70 - very quiet.
Energy consumption: I drive mostly in the city. I had average consumption on summer Michelins around 130 w/km with outside temp 15 degrees C. On Nokians - 145 w/km.
Dry grip: I can't complain. I do not drive in extreme way.
Snow grip: It is ok. Driving carefully feels comfortable. I guess premium winter tires would feel better. But I live in Poland - our winters are mostly wet, not snowy.
Wet grip: OMG. Michelin ePrimacy is a complete rubbish in comparison to Nokians. I drove 140 km/h in a very heavy rain in cold (4 degrees C outside) - extremely good grip - not even a slight feeling of lack of traction.

Overall: In a few weeks I got used to the noise. Energy consumption could be better, but I think it is a good price for the level of grip (safety) Nokians have.
I was waiting for Michelin Cross Climate 3, but they do not produce this size (which is default wheel size on Tesla Model 3 - very weird decision from Michelin). But I am happy with Nokians overall.

Wet grip is very bad

After 10,000 km, the Michelin Primacy 5 proves to be an excellent all-rounder for daily driving. Road noise is impressively subdued, enhancing cabin comfort even at highway speeds. The tire delivers a smooth, comfortable ride, absorbing road imperfections with ease. Rolling resistance is commendably low as well. Not the most ideal if you are looking for a sporty tire

I have been driving with these on for almost a year now. Their performance is outstanding even during breaking during summertime.

Tires were fitted to my car upon delivery (Tesla Model 3). The tires are fine for normal use in the summer, but could provide a bit more feedback and therefore don't feel very nice when cornering at speed. The tires are very good for the car's fuel consumption, which is almost 10% more economical than my winter tires. However, the tires are really useless on wet roads! When the road is even slightly wet, they lose grip in corners and on roundabouts, even when driving slowly. On the motorway at exits or flyovers, you can feel the car floating on the road and searching for grip when it rains and it quickly loses grip. The tires do not feel safe at all in the rain. That is why I have my winter tires (Continental WinterContact TS870P) fitted immediately after the summer, even though the temperatures are too high for winter tires. I simply don't have enough confidence in the Michelin tires in the rain, and my winter tires perform much better. In the spring, I will consult with my leasing company to have the Michelin tires permanently removed and replaced with a decent tire. I hope they will agree to the PS5 tires, as I have had good experience with them on my previous car.

These tires are the original equipment on my 2024 Tesla Model 3 RWD. In dry conditions, they feel good, but it's unclear where the limit is; they often lose grip without warning. In wet conditions, they're embarrassing, thanks to the abundant torque and rear-wheel drive, which causes the rear end to skid at every roundabout. Fortunately, there are electronic controls.

This tires are pretty solid for cruising. Grip is average for an EV with that instant torque, though—traction control jumps in when you mash the pedal, especially blasting out of corners or from a stop. In the wet, they’re good. I’ve hammered through some serious downpours at 120 km/h without any sketchy moments. Only gripe is they can slip a bit on wet acceleration, but no brown-pants situations so far.

I would say they are a better option than the Micheling e-Primacy that I had in my previous car

After 5000 km with Kumho Ecsta PS72 i was fed up with vibrations and rebalancing and trying everything to make them run smooth. I switched to Michelin PS5 and what an absolutely lovely tire. The car is completely different. Stable, quiet, comfortable and vibration free. This tire is well known and don’t need any presentation. Buy them and enjoy your car. They just work perfectly!

I couldn’t stand the vibrations and bought Michelin Pilot Sport 5 instead. The shop was really service minded so they took the Kumhos back. Got them switched out today and all vibrations issues are gone and comfort level raised many steps. Will stick to top tier tires from now on.

Update after 5000 km / 3100 miles.
Everything is great with the tires except i have annoying vibrations between 100-120 km/h.
Just got them re-balanced but it did not solve the problem. My other rims and winter tires run smooth so its not the car.
Maybe also got some Kumho out-of-round issue here. Sorry to say it but this will make me hesitate to buy them again.

Got these after reading reviews at tirereviews.com, replacing the OEM Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 tires on our Tesla Model 3. And they have lived up to the reviews. Compared to the Hankooks, they give a much more comfortable ride on good surfaces, as well as poor ones and over bumps in the road, but still allowing you to feel connected to the road. The ride also feels really planted, with excellent grip, giving me more confidence around corners and in the rain. Noise levels may be marginally higher, and EV efficiency has gone down slightly (134 instead of 121 Wh/km). Remaining factor will be tire life - I got 55,000km out of the Hankooks, so hopefully I get something similar with these Continentals. I am still curious to see what the Hankook iON AS tires are like, but the extra cost of those over these Continentals makes me think more than twice about getting them, so likely to stay with these Continentals next time.
