Best Tires for the Mercedes Benz E320 CDI

I got these tires on the last 10,000 miles and like really good value for money or a mixture of driving I have merc e320 wagon at these times do really well high speed low speed cornering really good all round tire

It gets too much road noise. I have become disinclined to drive the car since the day I installed it. The only good thing is that it brakes well. Other than that, the car slides horizontally on corners. Definitely a tire I will not buy again.

These tires came on my car my car is rear wheel drive and the rear ones have already wore out in under 5000 miles on the front they don’t have plenty of tread left, but in cornering they’re a little bit lacking

So, first off, I have only had the tires about a week and a half. I put them on a 1981 Mercedes 300SD that has very low power. I have noticed in many cases where I have a tire that others reviewed as bad, I look for the common denominator, which is usually a car type the tire doesn't work for. In some cases, the tire likes heavy or light cars, or not good for performance, and those who have the opposite end up giving a bad review. Anyway, these tires are on a 43yr old car, and they make no road noise, I can do short curves at aggressive speeds (as aggressive as a 300SD can be) with very good stick to the road making me feel very confident. The ride over bumps and potholes are just normal, nothing bad or good, just normal. The overall ride is very comfortable. I don't remember driving in any rain yet, but they seem to be very much like the Master Craft tires I had before making me "believe" they'll be fine. If they turn out to not be fine, I will return and post that information. I drive close to 140 miles a day, so my week and a half review is about as good as someone else's month+ review. For such a VERY low price in the world of "there must be gold in those tires" prices, I'll buy them every time I need tires on this car.

Had sunny tires tires fitted all round. After 1000 miles the road noise was deafening. Contacted seller and was told what do you expect from budget tires. Cracks had started to appear between the treads. Had the car checked by a mechanic for wheel bearings due to the noise but they were fine front and back.
The noise got even worse with wear.
After 5000 deafening miles I bit the bullet and replaced them with Devanti tires. Results is bliss I can hear my engine again.
Unless you have a wheel barrow I would advise not to fit sunny tires although they may be good for children’s swings.

The dry grip feeling is really superior, the sensations are that of a Bridgestone Potenza without a doubt. In the wet, the grip is very good, greater than the audacity of any average driver. Due to the width of my tire (245/45 R17), when hitting a deep puddle, the braking is felt on the suspension wishbones, like with any other tire of this width. I would recommend it for use in summer and rainy days, although with deep puddles and wet road markings you have to take the same precautions as with any other wide sports tire.

500 miles later.... scuffed & broken in. V6 Merc 3 liter diesel E Class. BIG LUMP. Previous Cross Climates 30k. I have given the rubbers max marks for every criteria. Yes they are that dam good ! I am not worried if they last 12 months or 3 years. I will buy them again. It has transformed my remapped Merc to something else ! Scooby Subaru difference. The car sits in the road and steers razor sharp. The braking was tested return trip to the Cotswold in the wet. WOW kid you not THE CONFIDENCE IT GIVES YOU IS IMMENSE. Cross Climates carnt come close sorry ! Heres the kicker i have 16 rims , nothing sporty so if you did have wider wheels OMG you would be like a Cheshire cat. That said , I have 530Nm with a XLR pedal box. So it can shift. I never thought that tires could alter / transform the ride, comfort , noise so much. Wasnt expecting that and can only comment on my truck. Have owned Scoobys , M3 , Porsche , MR2s, Mercs am an old fart 58. So I have an idea what a positive transformation these CP7s have made to the overall ride , steering razor sharp, grip, comfort, noise. Braking and direction is immense. I have lost about 2MPG rolling resistance tough. I have been bamboozled by the amount of tires and compounds on offer. However, the expert review here and other research made me DO IT. I am so happy I payed the extra lolly. I feel like i have a two ton Subaru they are that good! Enjoy the trip.

UK roads 16 inch rims e Class Merc. Tires tread is about 4mm after 28k , 4 years. Some brisk driving, majority mixture of roads. Carnt say they were that good in the winter as an all season tire, hence will not pruchase again. The side walls have all cracked on 7k miles per year. I do use Autoglym trye dressing and been researcing, it can dry your tires out. Buying water based dressing in future. The dry grips ok along with wet, but an e class elegance isnt a low profile fast racing car on 16 rims. Its remapped etc & the rears smoke in 3rd still. Not sure why cough cough ! on striaght lines. Too much body role when pushing on. My next tires will be Conti 7s or the Bridgestones 005. Not many reviews on the Contis by owners yet. Had my fill of Michelins time for change. It appeals the extra MPG offered by B 005 , reviews saying wear too quick hmmmmmmm Contis not sure yet ..

Solid tire. 12k miles done. Back 5.6, front 5.9 Mercedes 350 265/45/18 rear 245/50/18 front. Can't fault them. Will go for another set. Traction perfect, drives like a train. No skids, no aquaplaning so far. Wear ok/even. Average driving style. Got me out of trouble once... Hard breaking ABS on... Avoided dropped container.

Bought these from qwikfit as a mid priced tire. Reasonable drive as long as you are just popping down the road to the bowls club. Bought in June, they now need replacing in November. Never have I had tire wear like this. Tracking tested and found to be ok. So all in all a crap tire. Will never by another Firestone
