I've driven basically every type of driving you can think of, round town, motorway, country roads, ice & snow and even on track! And honestly for the money I've paid per tire the Goodrides were surprisingly impressive, considering I've bought burgers more expensive than these tires they've held up well to my youthful exuberance. The dry grip is reasonable, although with a fair amount of understeer. In slipperier weather the grip wasn't great however still perfectly controllable if you know what you're doing. Comfort and road noise was surprisingly good and is better than the equivalents from 3 other budget brands I've tried. If you abuse them a lot you'll find they don't last long and you'll find under 3.5mm of tread the dry grip does fall away quite a lot, but for a normal every day car on a tight budget you'll find no complaints from me. A final note: They do smoke well on burnouts compared to other budget plastic tires.

Normal driving on the XL version (judging by online inventories the default one produced) from proper snow and neg. C in Livland to warm dryness, 0 C slush and much less snow to around Regnum Hungariae. For winter tires in general they seemed to perform perfectly competently, although once did fail to get any traction on wet ice on a very slight incline, sadly expectable without studs. No noticeable noise increase compared to summers and no noticeable wear at all. Seemed rather heavy/substantial in hand and with a stiff sidewall. The latter characteristic might very well have saved one of the rims on a particularly crashy pothole, but also made for a subjectively unpleasant firmness in general in a car with an otherwise superb suspension (the Sport version at that). So much so that one actively avoided any manhole covers or other imperfections on the road surface, which then motivated an early sale before the second season. For reference, the replacements in the form of Continental TS 870 P provide vastly improved levels of comfort.

As you would expect coming from the previous model V105s. Very stiff casing and construction coupled with a compound that operates in wider conditions, more usable on the street compared to semi-slicks. Recommended and one of the best high performance street tires on the market. Yokohama did it again.

Garbage tier casing/sidewall, softer than all touring tires that I've used. I think i have never seen anything like this, maybe they are reusing their winter tire casing on all of their lineup to cut up costs. To market this tire as high performance is misleading at best. These came fitted on my Jaguar S-Type 3.0 by previous owner. I installed coilovers and bushings on the car, and I'm throwing these tires away because they ruin it. They roll so much on the sidewall that you can visually see wear on half if not most of the sidewall (can this even be a safety issue even, tire coming off of rim mid turn?). I'm used to Yokohama V105S on my other car, but at this point a Pirelli Cinturato touring tire would be an upgrade. Comfort is good as you can expect from such a soft case, but just buy a touring tire if that's what you want.

Good tire for the price with superb wet road performance, tackles standing water with ease. Expecting the fronts to last for around 20k before replacing with the rears probably good for another 10k. Not on the same level as a Pilot sport or Sportcontact in overall performance/longevity, but quite a bit cheaper.

These came fitted to the car when i bought it 2nd hand with about 2,000 miles done on them already. My previous car had the OE spec Dunlop Sports Maxx and these are a complete revelation. took me a good 200 miles to trust the grip they offered in the damp over the Dunlops which had me driving very cautiously ...not a bad thing but also not relaxing. The PS4s just does things without any hint of understeer or sudden tail slides under power. Ride comfort is better even when the car has stiffer suspension than the previous car and cabin noise is down a bit as well. Only negative i've sensed was a little tramlining under heavy breaking and a much smaller rim protector. They aren't a cheap tire but for high power cars i can definitely understand the reputation these have gained. 550hp has never felt so easy to get down .

These are OE on Jaguar XE 180d (Some models), but they have a real tendency to not cope with putting torque down in the wet. Fishtailing out of roundabouts isn't great fun. They lasted 23,000 miles. Car was always very sure in the dry and wet handling, but let down with lack of stickiness under hard acceleration in wet. Pretty quiet and comfortable on a cruise and over bad potholes. New tires going on now will reveal how much of that is Jag and how much is Dunlop.

These tires are awful, They are noisy, in the wet they are lethal and even in the dry they are not great. Even being extremely cautious in the slightest of damp weather in a straight line the tires squirrel around and the traction control light keeps coming on making stopping distances a lot longer than they should be. Do not buy. A good rule of thumb is tires that last a long time generally dont have much grip. These prove that point.

These tires have weak side walls causing the car to sway from side to side at speeds above 55 mph, my car an S Type Jag has been checked over by a Jag garage and they say there is nothing wrong with the car and it must be the tires.
Have sent e-mails and phoned and been told that some one will contact me

I wrote a review of these tires here on the 8th of October, 2014, saying basically that I was amazed by these tires, and that they would get another 15k miles, after a 23k miles use already, then.


In fact I was wrong. They are just now at the legal limit after a total of 39,440 miles! So I got 16,440 miles, more than the 15k more I thought I would get.

Their biggest advantage - they have lost NOTHING in terms of performance, I am utterly astonished and I will be fitting these again within a couple of weeks, they are ordered.

If your Jag S-Type needs new tires, these are the ones to go for, hands down...
