295/40 20 Tire Review Highlights

Michelin Latitude tour HP rated 84% while driving a Porsche Macan Diesel S
Driving on a combination of roads for 23000 average miles
My Porsche Macan (with air/suspension/drive management) was fitted with this tire from new. They have performed brilliantly on all surfaces and in all conditions and never let me down feeling exceptionally safe and in touch with the road. I have just replaced the rears (dominant driving wheels) despite them having ample legal tread and restored quiet controlled running. Michelin Latitude Tour HP are well suited M + S tires for my car - recommended.

Accelera Iota rated 66% while driving a Audi
Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 spirited miles
Decided to try a cheaper tire (as had to replace all 4 and am getting tired of shelling out £1k each time). Have tried the Continental and Dunlop and only seem to get 6-8000 miles. Wont know for a while the wear characteristics but wanted to give early feedback. Tire noise seems similar. Seems to be on par in the dry and almost as good in the wet. One additional benefit seems that the tires ride a little more comfortable (using the Dunlop and Continental tires the tracking light would come up on the dashboard briefly when going over speed humps - they dont with the Iota's).

Dunlop SP Sport Maxx rated 52% while driving a Audi Q7
Driving on a combination of roads for 9000 average miles
These were fitted new by an Audi main dealer when I purchased the car second-hand. During my 12 month ownership I have always adjusted my tire pressures according to the weight in the vehicle hoping to increase tire life. After only 8 months of ownership I noticed they had started to wear on the outer edges on all four of my tires & also cracking in between the tread around the circumference of the tires, the middle of each tire had approx 5/6mm of tread left. When the car went into Audi for warranty work I mentioned the tires & the reply was "it is normal wear because it's a big, heavy vehicle". Now, 2 months after it went into Audi my tires are really bad on the outer edges ( the near side front & back seem to be the worst) but the rest of the tire still has at least 5mm of really good tread. I fitted the same type of tire to the front of my wife's Golf GTI nearly 20k ago & they've been brilliant but I'm sorry to say that this isn't the case on my Q7 & at £260+ each tire I'll be searching around for something a bit more long lasting, really disappointed.
