Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

How long do tires last on the Nissan Micra?

Across 12 end of life reviews from Nissan Micra drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 23,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 10,000 miles and 35,000 miles.

Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.

Installed these tires on my 2002 Nissan Micra K11 to replace old worn ones.

They mounted balanced pretty easily.
First impressions on city roads, slightly damp : holy Jesus these are bad. I spun the rear of my car at 25-30kmh in a wide roundabout.

Blamed it on them needing broken in, but I've driven 1000km with them and I can say with confidence they're the worst tires I've ever driven on.

To be fair, dry weather they're OK, grip enough to be safe but don't think about going faster than the speed limit.

Wet weather they're worse than 15yr old dry rotted Hankook all seasons I had before. Braking distances horrible, almost like driving on ice, and I can spin the wheels in second with a 60hp grandma mobile.

Definitely never buy these.

I find that for tires around €140, similar in price to Michelin, Continental, Goodyear, the number of kilometers is low compared to other brands that have done about 50,000 km for €10 more. I'm considering buying GT Radial Sport Active2 or BF Goodrich Advantage 2, estimated at 45,000 km for less than €90 per tire.

on dry ground: good. good behavior.
on wet ground: very bad in curves, in traffic, you need to keep a reasonable distance.
little comfort but that's normal with a size 50. tire is not noisy on various surfaces.
so far I have only covered 24000 km in 57 months. so nothing to report.

Had four fitted, front and back to a 25 year old Nissan Micra. Front needed replacing after 23,000 miles, but the rears have done 45,000 and still have 5mm of tread ! I drive carefully, so 23,000 is a little disappointing, but 45,000 on the rear, with 5mm of tread left is exceptional. I originally bought them for fuel efficiency and the low noise level (lower than Hankook, Mitchelin etc.) and they have delivered on both.

dry grip: good. wet grip: not good. you have to drive carefully, smoothly. and even more so on curves and tight bends. uncomfortable tire. maybe because of the size 50? and deflates very quickly. maybe because of the speed bumps? I redo the pressure every 500 km. I have to put about 1 bar of pressure back. (the valves are new and the rims are original, without shocks). as for wear I don't know yet. I swap them every 10,000 km. we'll see in the end. tire not noisy. buying this tire is unlikely because on wet ground it's limited.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 PS3 195-50-15- Nissan Micra 20,000 miles April 7, 2024
the michelin pilot sport 3 was fitted on my micra k12 1.2 and i was super satisfied with them. all four tires were fitted at the same time on new wheel rims. i drove around 33k kms with them and still plenty of tread left. it was around approx 4mm tread across all tires. so i guess may be 40% of its life remained.

the first 15k kms were insane. the tires were very responsive and you could feel that they would not let you down. i was very happy with stability especially in fast corners and quick steering where the car remained stable at high speed and the tires responded. I felt much more comfortable driving in the wet with them, i could feel the tires had more grip that in the dry. The tires needed to be fired up to good temperature in order to perform well and once u drove normally around with them, you could easily start going into fast corners at high speed without feeling that the tires would slide. in fact in wet conditions, you could afford to do things you don't normally do when it's raining.

the performance started to drop as the tires started to wear out but it was hardly noticeable. hitting the 20k km mark, driving was still very pleasant and still plenty of tread left but i would say its performance compared to when its new, may have drop approx. around lets say 75%. i think that one could take its life tread away completely and still feel comfortable driving around because their drop in performance is at low rate. well road noise is there like any other tires so they didn't disturbed, in fact it was pleasant hearing them as i could say to any1 'hear my pilot sport roaring' lol will definitely recommend these tires and will buy again in a heartbeat/

Maxxis Mecotra ME3 175-60-15- Nissan Micra 2,000 miles April 12, 2023
I have a 2015 Nissan Micra (K13), and there are limited choices available for the size 175/60R15. I bought these Maxxis tires with some trepidation after reading about their alleged poor wet handling and road noise, but so far (2,000 km) I don't see any problems at all. The handling and grip on dry pavement are absolutely superb (as confirmed by the top dry ranking in the ADAC/Stiftung Warentest test), and I haven't had any problems at all driving in light or heavy rain on city streets or rural roads. At highway speeds, there was a little understeer on very wet roads, though this felt more like a somewhat lighter touch to the steering than a lack of control. The tires also aren't noisy. I gather this is more of an issue on 14-inch tires, but in 15-inch they're definitely quieter than the Bridgestone B250 that came with the car, with one exception - the resonant "plonk" noise that the tires make when you drive over a stone, hit a kerb, etc. is a bit more noticeable. All in all, the tire seems very well matched to a small car like the Micra, and (remember these are first impressions) so far I am very pleasantly surprised, not least because they were very reasonably priced for a Taiwan-made tire.

Goodyear UltraGrip 9+ 175-60-14- Nissan Micra 2,000 miles March 23, 2023
I have a Nissan Micra, so there's a relatively limited range of tires available for 175/60R15, most of which are older models. So a reasonably priced brand-new Goodyear was a pretty obvious choice when I needed new winter tires. And they haven't disappointed. The Micra feels like a whole new car, with far better traction and handling than the Semperit Master-Grip 2 that were fitted before, and braking distance and overall performance seems to have improved as well. I can't comment on severe ice and snow, as we didn't have too much of that this winter, but traction was very good on one icy day and it handled moderate snow cover with ease. I haven't driven too much on rural roads or motorways, but handling was fine and the tire seemed quieter at highway speeds.

The tires is pretty quiet, have soft compound and it make the ride feel quiet and comfy for me, although the handling is average. So far the tire feel better than my previous Bridgestone Ecopia tire. Low price tag too
