The Tire Reviews Score is the most comprehensive tire scoring system available. It aggregates professional test data from multiple independent publications, user reviews, and consistency analysis using Bayesian statistical methods, weighted normalisation, and recency-adjusted scoring to produce a single, reliable performance rating.

Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 81% while driving a Skoda (205/55 R15) on a combination of roads for 20 easy going miles
Had these on my used Skoda Octavia Estate and changed to high end tires just to find out despite the rating that the new ones had a lower MPG and where much more bouncy making the drive less comfortable.

Switched back to the Evergreen and life was good again.
Great economy, comfortable ride, lasted 20,000 miles.
Driven to Europe twice a year and never had any issues with winter drive in wet and snow.
Will buy again.

Given 66% while driving a Nissan Micra (185/50 R16) on a combination of roads for 0 easy going miles
dry grip: good. wet grip: not good. you have to drive carefully, smoothly. and even more so on curves and tight bends. uncomfortable tire. maybe because of the size 50? and deflates very quickly. maybe because of the speed bumps? I redo the pressure every 500 km. I have to put about 1 bar of pressure back. (the valves are new and the rims are original, without shocks). as for wear I don't know yet. I swap them every 10,000 km. we'll see in the end. tire not noisy. buying this tire is unlikely because on wet ground it's limited.

Given 39% while driving a Toyota Yaris (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10 average miles
My car was bought with these tires on them and it wasn't until I replaced the tires - 1 year after having the car - that I realised what the make was.
My car is only 7 years old and have had evergreens on them for 2 and are already completely worn down. I thought I had a nosiy car, but since replacing all four tires with Dunlop, I noticed how much noise a tire can contribute and how bumpy the car was.
I guess at such a cheap price you pay for what you get. And I could live with noise and bumps, but in the interest of wanting long lasting safety, these aren't for me and won't buy again.
Perhaps good for short distance travellers, but I do lots of motorway journeys, so need a good reliable tire.
