Vauxhall Corsa Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Uniroyal AllSeasonExpert 3 given 87% (195-55-16)
Just a quick follow up review to the initial review having spent some more time with the tires, now covering 1000 miles with them, they are showing no wear, and haven’t exhibited any changes in behaviour since the initial review other than as the tire has been used more it now seems to smooth out small road imperfections better than it did initially.

As a tire it is very much an all season tire, it drives like an all season tire but is predictable in every scenario I’ve encountered so far, and I would say more responsive then something like the Michelin CrossClimate 2 which I have used previously.

Very very initial impressions here but in the last few days I’ve had chance to try these tires in every weather condition, from dry to wet, snow and ice.

Dry - handles like I personally expect and all season to handle a bit vague but fine, similar to CrossClimate 2s

Wet - Excellent, feels like I’m driving on the dry no noticeable difference feels planted even in torrential rain.

Snow/ice - impressive descended down a snow covered slope as the first car down it, snow level was quite deep and it did it no issues, and climbed back up no issues on a snowy/icey incline, and was fine pulling into - reversing and pulling out of a icey lay-by

So far I’ve been very impressed with this tire, it seems very capable, coming with just shy of 8mm of tread in my tire size (perhaps 8mm not sure how accurate my tread depth reader is) I thought I’d leave this initial review as there aren’t many out there! There is one review I could find online on YouTube - looking forward to your test to see how it compares!

Writing about the Nankang Green Sport Eco 2 Plus given 77% (195-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 spirited miles
Not a bad tire at all. Don’t usually leave review for tires but I’ve had these fitted for 8k miles and all I’m
really impressed. Little to no wear, the tire grips really well in the dry and seems stable in the wet when going round bends and that’s from an agressive driving standpoint and long distance motorway driving. For the price, you can’t beat it. Doesn’t seem much different to my Continental Eco Contact 5’s which was a great tire I previously had fitted. I’d recommend these and definitely buy them again.

Writing about the GT Radial ClimateActive given 91% (195-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Only had them on about a month at this point, but have covered 1000 miles with no wear showing at all, handling is good, if a little vague, not as much road feedback through the wheels as its predecessor. In heavy rain and mud these tires perform really well, as I’ve come to expect from GTRadial tires, the dry handling is similar in my experience to the Michelin Crossclimate 2, although I do find the Climateactive to be a more comfortable tire in comparison over bumps and road imperfections.

The tire is slightly noisy when cornering, but not enough to be an issue, just more noticeable then its predecessor and the cross climate 2s.

Given its performance on mud and gravel I have every confidence that these tires will perform well in the snow, time will tell, but so far so very good, as I’ve come to expect from GTRadial, and in fact the Giti family of brands.

Writing about the Riken Riken Snow given 87% (215-45-17-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 4000 average miles
got these on a corsa van and they are great in the snow and not noisy on the road, good wear properties for the blocky tread pattern. Bought some more for the rears to replace the verdenstiens which are not as good in the snow.

Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Absolutely awful tires, even in 70hp Corsa manage to spin the wheels when pulling away in the wet, and lost the front end driving at a safe speed in the wet around a round about, bearable handing in the dry but awful in the wet. Replaced with Falken ziex eco-run's, still mid range but worlds better.

Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 spirited miles
Had this tire fitted to my car and they are perfect for my small hatchback. Excellent dry grip and handling with full confidence to throw it into corners, wet grip is also quite good. However it does take some time for them to heat up in the wet to get significant grip. Fuel economy is also very good, I would recommend this tire for small hot hatchbacks. 10/10

Driving on mostly country roads for 3000 average miles
First time i have purchased BFG's, i believe that these winter tires are the best in their category. Ive been driving them up and down hills in snow and sometimes ice with no problem what so ever. Grip is fantastic taking into consideration i have no traction control on my vehicle. The only downside that i can think of is that if you drive them on temperatures above 6 degrees celsius they make the rife wobbly however this is expected as these are winter tires that are intended for snowy conditions in temperatures below freezing.

Car was fitted with Goodyear Grand prix S, which were utterly useless in dry and wet conditions. These tires handle much better in dry and wet conditions; oodles of grip in the wet.
