I changed these tires before the next winter season. In summer conditions, the wet grip is limited, in winter all the possible weather conditions (cold, wet, slush, snow, ice) makes the tire unsafe to use.

I suffered through 2 winters with this set, I dont want to risk another one.

I have had some other brands on this car, Firestone, Hankook, Vredestein, but I have to say, these Matadors are way better.

They have good balance between comfort and performance. Good levels of grip on dry and wet roads, but smoothen the ride well on rough or damaged tarmac. The noise level is ok.

The tires are soft (both sidewalls and tread), shows some delay in steering in the corner entries, but it's not a big deal. Not a sporty tire, tuned for comfort ride, they have the feeling I'm driving a Michelin subbrand, however It's a brand of Continental.

I got more what I expected for the price, I'm waiting how they will perform on long term.

We use it on our secondary car. It's usable generally, but the performance like a noisy summer tire. In snowy conditions the performance acceptable, but not good. With lower speed it can handle some snow on the roads. On ice, it's like a summer tire, definetly no grip. Previously I used a Nexen all seasons tire on this car, that was way better tire.

I have a 2003 Seat Ibiza, I chose these tires in 2015 after using some Kumhos (which were quite decent). The handling is quite good, I occasionally drive in a more spirited way and only twice in 10 years have I heard them squealing in a corner and it was at a relatively low speed, 40-50 km/h, while still providing sufficient grip. So I'd say they give a good amount of confidence on dry roads and the grip limit is not low. They're far from the best in the wet, but its limits are more evident when there is a lot of standing water on the road, in which case I recommend to reduce your speed significantly. Comfort is decent but I can't say much because my car is not exactly comfortable and is a bit noisy as is so the tires don't really have much influence, but I'd say it's average.
Since I live in an area where it doesn't rain that much, I chose them again in 2022 after one of the tires got punctured. I would've had to change them anyway because of their age and low tread depth, I had covered 66k km with them so pretty satisfied with the wear. As of now, I've covered 19k km with them and all is fine. Definitely recommend them because of their high price/performance ratio, 4 tires were 210€ here in Italy.

I had the car for 5 years 16k miles ( 26k km ) and temperatures from -7° to 39°c, I've loved this tire.
Totally reccomend it.

Usually I buy midrange tires, but this time I didn't want to spend too much on an old car. Also wanted to see if I can tell the difference between budget and more expensive tires. So it turns out yes I do - while handling is quite good and predictable, there is a noticably longer cold wet braking distance. Snow and dry is ok.

Awesome summer tires. Bought a new pair, mounted on rear axle. These are now made in Czech Republic but same are like those I had from S.Korea. These are not V-indexed, only H, and labeled B+C but 66dB, perfectly quiet tires!! Top comfort for harder trimmed car like my Ibiza. ...Ran with them about 1000 km, for now are excellent. I will buy it again and again,good price, good tire!

I really love this tires, previously I had fitted Goodyear Excellence which came from the factory and the car didn't feel good on corners. Since I have them I really enjoy driving around country roads, the car feels pretty good, actually, it feels like another car.

I have driven 7000 miles a Audi A4 (460kg/1,000pounds heavier but with 114hp/85kW more) fitted with Briedgestone Potenza S001 which in theory should be way better and they actually aren't, they feel quite similar to be honest, obviously, Potenza's are better but not as much as I expected them to be. Maybe if they were tested on the same car I would think differently.

After 1000 miles I think they are wearing quite much even driving usually hard.
If the road is wet, they hold quite well but sometimes they skid a little bit if you are speeding throught corners.

Also, I would like to add in the motorway at 150km/h or 93mph, my car feels a bit unbalanced, maybe it is related to the car and not to the tires, but I wanted you to know about it just in case, better safe than sorry you know. Just as an information, my car weight 1100kg/2,425 pounds and has 85hp/63kW.

I've bought them in january 2016 for my winter set on steel wheels. Seat Ibiza 1,4 86HP. First two seasons very good,after that they are a bit harder but quite ok. Driving on them here in Vojvodina(Serbia) and Hungary from oktober to march. During january 2019 tested in very hard snow and icy roads,job well done. Satisfied. They are cheaper brand of Continental-made in Slovakia,for my dimensions, but they are Czech brand. Wear is excellent. Not loud tire. Good choice for normal drive. Recommendations. Closest relatives are Viking,Matador,Sportiva and Gislaved tires...mid range,should buy it. Winter is not for sporty drive. I wish u all many happy kilometers and drive carefully.
