BMW 530i Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 given 63% (225-55-16-)
Driving on mostly town for 700 average miles
Having completed a lot of research I settled on these tires. I was happy with the price and how they felt on the car. Feedback, handling and comfort are all good. Unfortunately the two front tires are faulty and have lost their shape causing wheel wobble over 60mph. They lasted less than 800 miles & less than eight months.

Horrible!
Minimal traction in normal conditions, atrocious in the wet. Traction control continuously intervenes especially if there are any road undulations.
The older they get the harder they become and the traction issues are only compounded.
Avoid at all costs!

Writing about the Pirelli P Zero Runflat given 69% (275-35-18-W)
Driving on mostly town for 8000 easy going miles
My BMW has a staggered set up, 275/35 18 on the rear and 245/40 18 front.
I previously had Dunlop SP01 RoFs which were awful, tramlined, very hard tires which lasted.
These Pirelli’s were a marked improvement in my BMW 530i.
Comfortable for run flats, and no tramlining. Noise was acceptably low.
Steering feel was excellent. Starting and stopping in the dry was sure footed.
Strangely I felt wet grip to be less good than the Dunlop’s.
Sadly this tire lasted for around 8000 miles (15 months) of mixed relaxed driving.
I changed these to Michelin PS2 ZP.

Superb tires that did very well on my E39 530i Sport

I drove this car like it needed; hard (safely) and the tires stuck to the road like glue, both wet and dry!

My car was lowered on coilovers and very well dialled in and it handled superbly for a large saloon!

I'd highly recommend them; they give a superbly compliant ride as well. With a slightly softer sidewall; they weren't crashy at all

I received my car with these tires. They are new. The first week, it was raining and the web grip was terrible. If I stop at a roundabout then I see an opportunity that requires me to start quickly, I just accelerate and the next thing that happens is a noise from the back: the wheels spinning freely on wet then the dashboard showing the ESP quick-in to limit the power. A few days later, it stopped raining. Again, me at a roundabout and expecting a nice acceleration from 0 to 15 MPH in order to take advantage from a gap in the traffic. Then again: rrrrrrrrrrrrrr The tires spinning and the ESP. These tires are unable to smoothly and consistently transfer the power to the road. The grip on straight lines, bends or motorway is good because the car is nearly 2 tons heavy.

AWESOME.
Stick like stuff to a blanket in the wet, brilliant feedback it's like they are one with the tarmac.
Comfortable, great stopping distance feedback nice understeer. What more can I say.

Replaced Eagle F1's which had developed a nasty vibration due to collapsed casings, even with 5K still left to go.

Purchasing again.

I used this tires for more than 60,000 km and 6 years life in UAE, it is Run on Flate model, all my driving is at high speed more than 140 up to 200 for long distance at high outside temp.
you can trust it during long trip 13hrs of driving without stopping, no nosie at all, I never drive at wet road due to GCC weather, I used Ron on Flat facility it was very helpful and great, really I recommend this tires.
One point is very costly more than 500$.

BMW e39 individual based on M5 chassis but with 3L only engine.
I have these fitted on the rear, well it is differently not the best choice, relay cheap, bad dry grip and very poor wear, I got just around 12 miles

I know I didn't look from the beginning for an expensive set but it was terrifying from the beginning (2011) to drive on this awful set. I'm from Israel, so the weather is pretty much OK.. but the set became dry very quickly, I was keen to tire pressure R-36PSI, F-33PSI but nothing helped..
Yesterday night driving at 160kph, the rear tire completely torn, the only thing that kept me and my family alive is the rigid balanced body of the car car itself. Sorry but never again Kumho.
