It is unbelievable how premium tires can only last this length of time. My wife is just an average driver with occasional motorway use but mainly shopping in the car on her own. These are probably the worst performing tires we have ever owned. My wifes old Toyota with over 100k on it is on its 3rd set of tires none have been Bridgestone.

Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.
How long do tires last on the BMW 218d Active Tourer?
Across 20 end of life reviews from BMW 218d Active Tourer drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 12,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 3,800 miles and 19,000 miles.

What BMW 218d Active Tourer drivers say
The most recent owner reviews from this car, in their own words.
These tires are dangerous! My BMW X1 U11 25e came with OEM 19" EcoContact 6Qs...from the very first kilometers driven I knew they had poor grip. No matter dry or wet, but when its wet it gets dangerous...hard braking not possible at all: abs comes on, car is literally uncontrollable and starts sliding and all other safety features on the car comes on. Surprisingly they perform well in heavy rains, but not sure if that's due to the tire or that I am driving slow.
Ride quality and noise are pretty good, wear too...I believe it will be impossible to wear these out. Worst tire ever to come out of Continental factory.
I have other cars equipped with eco tires (mainly Bridgestone Turanza Enlitens), but none is that bad.
If you have to choose - NEVER get these tires
The Toyos offer phenomenal grip in the dry. Used both on track, and spirited driving on twisting switchback roads.
There have been only two instances where these have encountered rain and immediately, I backed off the speed; I would not recommend driving enthusiastically when in the wet.
The other noticeable characteristic is the road hum when driving on the motorway.
I would buy again for the sheer confidence these tires provide in the dry; however, their lifespan is the only negative.
After 7000 miles, I can say that these are the safest and the most durable tires I have ever owned.
Regarding comfort, not the quietest and the most comfortable tires on bad roads, because they are sports profile, but perfect on good roads.
Just recently tested them on a very curvy uphill downhill road, and guarantee you, these tires are made for safety, so good and reliable.
The only reason I would ever think of buying other brands would be to test if other main brands could be more quiet and more comfortable, but I don't think any other brand can be safer than Pirelli Cinturato C3.
Very competitively priced and good wear, given the use and power of the car.
I expect to get circa 17000 miles from the set on this car.
Grip and handling are very good, very quiet, and soft/smooth over road cracks. Recommended.
I went for it thinking if they didnt work out i would just throw them away and buy other ones,
and if they did then I'd have found something that will keep saving me a lot of money in the future.
To my surprise the LingLong sport master winter has been fantastic for me.
This 2025/2026 winter started out very mild with temperatures around 15C, but then gone down to temperatures -15C with lots and lots of snow and ice.
The tire performed spectacularly in the dry and great in the wet and in very deep snow.
Black Ice is a problem for any tire and there's no tire in the world that can save you when you hit such a patch of ice.
So by driving like a normal person on icy snowy roads I never had any problem.
The previous tires I had on were Michelin All seasons and granted, they were 4 years old, the linglongs outperformed them in the wet and in the snow.
Strongly suggest saving money and trying these out.
