Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

A very even all-rounder with predictable behaviour and no big weaknesses across the main tests.
It didn't have the outright wet or dry lap time pace to run with the leading group.
The Kleber Dynaxer HP5 finished 7th overall. It delivered a very even set of results: mid-pack in wet braking, dry braking, wet handling and dry handling, plus decent aquaplaning and a solid rolling resistance figure. Subjectively it also landed around the middle with a good wet handling score and a strong comfort score. My wet notes were positive about predictability and smooth transitions, but the lap time data shows it didn't have the final step of grip to match the tires at the front.
19th/20
The Kleber Dynaxer HP5 finishes nineteenth with the lowest rolling resistance of all twenty finalists, which translates to measurably lower fuel or energy consumption. Projected mileage is reasonable and tread wear is the lowest recorded in the test. The main limitation is wet grip, where braking distances and lateral performance are below the mid-field, requiring more caution in wet conditions.

Top 3 Kleber Dynaxer HP5 Reviews

Given 95% while driving a Mercedes Benz W213 E220d All terrain (255/45 R19) on a combination of roads for 1,800 spirited miles
Got them on my MB W213 E220d in April. They're reliable in all conditions. Drove them in wet, drove them in 35 celsius heat - all is well. When it's hot, the road noise increases. On wet, handling is exceptional and extremely reliable. You're conifdent that the tire grip does not worsen, it feels.
I'm dumbstruck there's zero, I mean zero tests/official reviews of these tires. It's a hint as to which brands get all the media noise = which brands pay for reviews ;) Get Kleber, you'll thank me later.

Given 100% while driving a Lancia Delta 1.4 Multiair (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 1,000 average miles
Got these tires with the car, they have just been put on as new. Quiet and comfortable, no noise even at speeds over 120 km/h.

Given 93% while driving a Peugeot 407 4 door sedan 2.0 petrol (215/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
First time with this brand, Decided to give it a try since I didn't have Michelline Primacy for my specific tire size in my country. My previous tires were Primacy 4 and I have to admit, these tires feels pretty similar! Just a tad more grip and hardness feel on them. Feels very safe to drive with them and comfortable. I have alot of bumpers on the roads in my area and they are not very noticeable, handles them well. I have them only for about 2-3 weeks now, Will give an update when I wear them out some more...

Initial Impressions Review
Given 50% while driving a Lexus IS200 (225/45 R17) on for 1,500 miles
Due to a blowout of both left tires caused by a pothole, I had to move the right rear tire to the left front and replace both rear tires.

I chose Kleber Dynaxer HP5s because we have HP4s on our second car and we're happy with them.

In this case, I'm quite disappointed. The difference in handling compared to the front Assymetric 6s is noticeable in terms of drift, and it's very apparent that the rear tires take too long to follow the behavior of the front tires, resulting in considerable imprecision at high speed. I think the main problem is that the sidewall is too soft compared to the GY tires.

As soon as I can, I'll put four GY Assymetric 6s back on.

Initial Impressions Review
Given 100% while driving a BMW 218d Active Tourer (205/55 R17) on for 500 miles
Only have them for a few days, but initial impressions are great.
Grip and handling are very good, very quiet, and soft/smooth over road cracks. Recommended.
