The Best All Season Tires for 2025/26 P7 of 9

The Cooper is a brand most of us have heard of, however in this test the Discoverer All Season did not really perform like that. It was a little better in the dry and wet compared to the previous two tires, but still 10% off in wet braking which is less than ideal. It also had the highest rolling resistance and the worst snow performance of all the all season tires, it was a difficult test for the Cooper. Though it was comfortable.

The Cooper Discoverer All Season repeatedly combines good aquaplaning resistance with weak wet grip and high rolling resistance. It led curved aquaplaning in the 2020 Tire Reviews test but finished last of nine overall, with wet braking and handling both last of 11 measured tires. Auto Bild placed it last of ten and Not Recommended in 2019, while its 2021 market overview put wet braking 32nd of 34. Dry braking is generally more competitive, with repeated praise from testers, but slow steering and understeer limit handling. Rolling resistance was last in the 2020 and 2025 Tire Reviews tests and both the 2021 and 2024 Auto Bild Allrad tests.

Comfort and noise can be strengths: in the 2025 Tire Reviews test it led both subjective comfort and measured noise, although Auto Bild Allrad described comfort as only moderate in 2021. Noise results also vary, including tenth of 11 in the 2020 Tire Reviews noise measurement but second on rough surfaces. Snow performance is usually below the leaders, with last place in snow traction in the 2025 Tire Reviews test. The stronger 2024 Auto Bild Allrad snow result was unusual: handling was fourth of 14 and testers praised safe behavior, contrasting with the weak snow handling in several earlier tests.
