Very Noisy TIre on My Honda ZRV 2023 - IN UAE

Original equipment. 27,000 km traveled: the front axle needs to be replaced. Pronounced wear on the edges creating the start of a drift on tight bends (dry road). Biggest fault: poor traction - particularly on wet ground - causing systematic skidding when starting off (strong acceleration) despite an automatic transmission and traction control (and size of the rubber) and a huge flat on each front tire (traction). Disappointing considering the price. I do not recommend it, except for quiet driving of a passenger vehicle.

The tires came as standard on my Lexus UX250H in 2023. Now, after 55k/km, they still have 5mm treads. So they do last, but the drawback is the noise they produce as they are RFT. Now I'm looking for something quieter, as most of my kilometres are completed on the Motorway and at high speeds; the noise is important. If I were driving at low speeds up to 60km/h and a hint of a motorway, I would definitely stick to these tires as they perform exceptionally well in both dry and wet conditions, especially here in Ireland, with no extreme low temperatures or snow these are right on spot for city commuting.

The Bridgestone Alenza RFT in 245/40R21 front and 275/35R21 rear is a very average tire. It’s okay but not great. Grip is acceptable in dry conditions, but in the wet it can slip when pushed, although the AWD system helps manage it. Ride comfort is harsh, with noticeable thumping over bumps and poor handling of rough roads. This is typical of run-flats, but still disappointing at this price point. Feedback and progression near the grip limit are minimal, making spirited driving feel numb.

Wear has been reasonable. After around 40,000 km, the fronts have about 5 mm of tread left while the rears are down to 2 mm. The front tires show noticeable outer edge wear, likely from SUV weight transfer during cornering. Running higher-than-recommended front pressures helps mitigate this.

Overall, it’s an expensive tire with no standout qualities. The limited run-flat alternatives in this size make that more frustrating.

Subaru Outback Touring XT: For many years Subaru fitted Yokohama Geolanders to Outback and Forester, they being the best compromise for bitumen and gravel roads. Those cars are "all road" cars, pitched at people who did a lot of touring, bush adventuring and so on - "See You Out There". Alenza a much quieter, softer, better handling tire than Geolander on bitumen but poor performance on gravel. Subaru have surrendered to the city drivers? The adventurers now relegated to also-ran's? I am replacing my Alenzas with Pirelli Scorpion.

Very noisy tire

I replaced the oem falknen ziex on my Mazda CX9 with Bridgestone Alenza s001. I won’t buy them again even though they cost just a third of the price of the Falkens. The Falkens were very comfortable, quiet and had excellent wet and dry grip. I have only done about 1000 km on the Alenzas Road noise is unbearable.They are very bumpy, although that could be because the installer inflated them to 38 psi rather than 33psi as recommended by Mazda. I reduced the pressure to 34 and they seem a little bit better now. Wet grip is poor.

Replaced original Michelins. Quieter, more comfortable and good all round performance. Wear has been good, currently at 3.8mm after 25k mikes.

Basic tires which came from the dealer. Lasted 80.000 km easily. Good traction control but very very noisy.

My car tends to slide outwards due to centrifugal force while using Bridgestone Alenza tires on curved roads. Compared to Bridgestone Alenza, my Continental Winter Contact 870 winter tires performed better on the same roads. My Totota Model is not listed on the pop-up menu. It is the Corolla Cross Hybrid Fashion X-Pack.

Have switched to these tires from Pirelli Cinturato P7 which were very good strong tires, with the biggest drawback being very stuff compound making the edge piece of rubber to tear off on a gravel road.
Alenza are great touring tires, being exceptionally quiet on any surface, even gravel. Reminded my of purely Japanese Yokohama Aspec dB I has on my Mazda many years ago.
Tried hard to slip these tires on a mountain road but was not able to even make them squeak. With G force becoming already well over normal for daily driving, and tires still standing strong, I can say traction is well over sufficient for most of the drivers.
Wet traction is perfect with almost no braking or steering effect when running into a puddle on highway speeds. Traction on Wet is also great with very nice feedback. Slip does not start by surprise. Tires give you well enough warning that they reached their lateral traction capabilities for driver to take the foot from the accelerator.
Wear is avarage but I disagree with overall low score as they are still well above avarage wear for even more expensive tires.
I recommend these for drivers, who like comfort and predictability. These are definitely not sport tires but are very well performing touring summer tires.
