We've currently very few details about this years ACE / GTU SUV Summer tire test, but we do know some things.

The testers tested eleven 215/60 R17 tires using a the crossover SUV Vauxhall Mokka. No offroad tests were done, as crossover SUVs spend most of their lives on the black stuff.

The now-replaced Premium Contact 5 dominated both the wet and dry tests to win overall.

The full results are below, sorry we don't currently have any more details on this test, we'll update the article as soon as we do!

The Conti PC5 is not so much replaced as supplemented (much as the PC2 survived the arrival of the PC5).

As far as I'm aware, the PC2 only survived in OE sizes where Continental had an obligation to make the tire available.

The PC5 will certainly survive in the smaller aftermarket fitments for now, time will tell as to whether Continental drop the PC6 to smaller sizes.

Curiously, there is a host of sizes having both PC2 & PC5 on offer.

The tire market works in weird and wonderful ways!
