Writing about the Kormoran Suv Summer

Tigar SUV tires replaced my previous Yokohama set, bought them on a friend's advice.
extremely satisfied, very good wet performance , smooth driving, way cheaper than my previous yoko's.
would highly recommend.

I found the tire a little noisy compared with the last brand, I was very disappointed with the wear on these tires, 11500 miles (18000 km) on exactly the same road surface as my last set of tires of which I had 26,000k the continental is not a cheap tire, it was recommended by Norauto in Lugo, Spain.
It is not a tire i would recommend after this use, I am a careful driver 70 years of age, the vehicle has never been off road and it is used as my daily commute i do not exceed speed limits.

Installed on a Touareg 4.2 V8 on november 2025 and already 7.000 km on them. Dry and performances are really similar to dedicated summer tires , and the acquaplaning even better than before. No any particular issue found . Confort is identical to the Hankkok Ventus S1 evo 3 EV installed on summer.
Coming to snow performances...they are incredible. Ok, a Touraeg is a car designed also for off road and snow conditions, but believe me, the traction is simply incredible and the car weight is 2.4 ton. 30 cm of fresh snow on the road and never felt any slip. Drove it on mountain roads and feels like you are in a dry road. Only experienced a minor slip in a iced roundabout.
Wear at the moment is concentrated on the front wheels, but not bad.
Definetly worth the money

Just a really solid all round tire, great snow grip considering it's not 3pmsf marked, lasted ages, comfortable.

Such a poor tire, these came on the car when I bought and had about 8mm of tread remaining and I was initially pleased as Bridgestone is a reputable brand. During the summer these were good on warm dry roads, the car was however susceptible to tram lining on motorways, I initially put this down to the width of the tires, how wrong I was.
Once the weather changed my opinion on these tires changed drastically, the car would dangerously aquaplane on the slightest amount of water and became difficult to control in bad weather, made driving extremely uncomfortable. The slightest amount of mud at the side of the roads was also enough to cause the wheels to lock up under slight braking, I drive mostly on country roads in the Scottish Highlands. My wife's VW Tiguan on Uniroyal Rainsport 5's does not exhibit these traits on the same roads, a far more safe and confident drive.
At my work we have a discovery 4 as well and it runs on Goodyear duratracs and does not exhibit these handling traits in poor weather so it can be directly attributed to the tires.
Also they are wearing fast, 5000 miles done and 5mm tread gone from the front so its time to change before the winter, 3mm left on the front and 5mm on the back and they have been changed for Goodyear's as I've never had any problems with them.

I bought two of these tires for the rear of my BMW at the start of this summer. I went from premium tires which were bridgestone to PACE AVENTI and this was a massive regret! As soon as I would hit 70 mph - 80mph on the dual carriageway it would feel as if my car was shaking and snaking about which was extremely scary! Each roundabout that i would go around, my car would throw the traction light on and it would feel as if I was going to go off the road! I would not recommend, especially on a high performance vehicle.

very very noisy on 2023 Toyota Rav 4 and a rough ride. quicker I get rid of them the better. I have had Goodyear efficiency grip suv on a previous 2021 Rav 4 and they are superb.
Unfortunately these Bridgestone tires were on the car from new and the car has only done 8000 miles.

Lasted pretty long: 5 years and 70000 km. Now the tread is between 3-5mm. Good tire. No problems with it apart, that some tire-shops don't get the balancing right at first try.
However it does not matter, because the tire is discontinued AFAIK.

Second time of purchasing these tires and they are perfect all rounder for my Amarok V6
Can’t praise them enough both for performance & longevity.
Really quiet & sure footed in all conditions.

Writing about the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus

Pirelli scorpion AT plus on 2015 Land Rover discovery. Wow what a tire, grip wet or dry is second to NONE. Handling, comfort, real lack of road noise is better than ANY other tire. Seriously. I’m a retired truck driver so l have done some miles. Just put another set on my car, 62500 klm on last set and still had maybe 10000 to go. Most of those klms towing a 2 and a half tonne caravan. Can not fault this tire, we did a load of outback dirt corrugated roads without a problem. Shop around as price can vary, but just get these tires on you car, promise you will not be disappointed.

Just fitted first drive tires good in the dry, quiet, sharp in braking really noticed the difference and comfortable ride. Will come back in a few months to tell you how they behave over the winter.

Had these for just over 2 years and 20,000 miles and they are just on the verge of needing replacing.
I waited this long before doing a review so i'd have lots of genuine information.
Good points:
Snow/Ice = Excellent. I have run them on 3 trips to the Alps with up to a foot of snow and they have been predicable, lots of traction and very sure footed.
Tough = sidewalls have had a fair number of scrapes with granite rocks and they are still perfect.
Mud= surprisingly capable, self clear quite well considering. For instance just spent an afternoon pulling horse boxes out of a show in horrible claggy mud and slippery wet grass. Not as controllable as a KO2 but they kept going....but you could tell they were at their limit.
Bad points:
Noise = started off well, but after about 5K miles, they started to have a solid persistent hum. This is in a premium 4x4 with really good sound insulation, imagine in a pickup etc it would be really bad. They have got steadily worse with age.
Wet grip = terrible, cornering at normal road speeds I have had the traction control coming on way too frequently. I do not have confidence driving these in the rain anymore on the motorway.
Fuel = terrible also, they are noticeably worse than the grabber AT3's I had before.
Summary. They seem to excel in the tougher conditions. Sadly that makes them sort of pointless for me as with their poor road manners and high fuel consumption you might as well just go for a more aggressive AT where i'd be sure they'd work when the going gets really tough. Conversely, If I needed ice and snow and road manners I'd go for a good all season SUV tire and save a load on fuel and be nice and quiet.
