The Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT is the best all-terrain I have tested and the one that gives up least to an all-season on the road. Off road it had no real grip advantage over the all-season here, but it steered better in the sand and on the side hill, stopped shorter in the snow and, most importantly, came through the same off-road abuse looking fresh. Buy it if you regularly drive rough trails, dirt roads or mud and want a tire that keeps working, and looks the part, mile after mile.

Why do you think Pirelli is listing the max psi at 36 for P275/70r18 size? Seems low, as cold temp psi is recommended 35 for many trucks/suvs.

Initial Impressions
I’ve got roughly 7000 miles on a set of these Pirellis. Mine are the “elects version even though my gmc sierra is a diesel as I was hoping for lower rolling resistance. So far I’ve driven on snow (good), ice (meh), torrential rain (good), dry (good) and some mild+ off road (very good). My review comes in comparison to other AT tires I’ve owned on this truck and a similar Silverado, including a set of Goodyear wrangler trailrunner ATs and Goodyear wrangler territory mt. The trail runners were original equipment and were surprisingly good at just about everything. They seemed to be more highway oriented or AT light than the pirellis. Much less aggressive looking, and tamer off road, but excellent on road for an AT. The pirellis in comparison are a little less sharp on road but I feel more comfortable (figuratively) with them off road.
The wrangler MTs were OE on my AT4 and were absurdly loud. I got rid of them after 700 ear deafening miles.
The Pirellis so far are the best comprise of on road and off road. Quiet (for an AT), handle well, decent in snow. My only gripe is the ride. It’s busy. Small road irregularities are transmitted way more than I’d like. When I first got them it felt like my tires were out of balance—which they were! Thanks for nothing Discount Tire. But even after a re-balance the ride could best be described as jiggly on all but perfect roads. Other than that, they’re very good AT tires.

I recently purchased as set of these tires (275/70R18) for my new 2026 4Runner TRD OffRoad. I upsized from the OEM 265/70R18 size after reading that they would fit without rubbing on a stock 4runner. I purchased from Discount Tire thinking I was going to get the gas version, but noted that the Electric version was delivered and asked DT to reorder to get the gas version. Well it turns out that in this size the Electric version is the only one made. So I gave them a try. On the good side... they look great, are smooth and almost silent. So far I have noticed only a minimal drop in MPG - maybe 1 mpg. The steering response is much better than the OEM Falcon AT3WA version and the Falcon AT4W I had on my previous vehicle. I do find the comfort level of the Electric version on a gas 4Runner to be lacking - very stiff and sharp impacts. Likely because this version was designed for a much heavier vehicle. At this point, I am thinking of returning them and downsizing to the OEM 267/70R18 to get the gas version - just for comfort alone. I like the 275 size and all the other positive aspects, including looks, but.....not sure I can live with the stiff ride.

I think the Pirelli XTM AT’s are at the top of the list for comfort (P-rated, SL) and road grip so far. Much better response and feedback than the OE General Grabber APT’s (same size: P275/70r18). Tread pattern and sidewalls are aggressive but not blocky. Likely will not test in ice/snow, but 3PMSF gives some indication. For a solid 80-85% highway and 15-20% off road, they seem to fit the bill perfectly. Recent purchase. Will update after 10k+ miles.

Dry grip is equivalent for an All Terrain, handles a little better with a superior sidewall feel to others that I have used, Toyo, BFG, Goodyear Wrangler, Nitto.
Comfort is better than the Michelin Primacys that came on the car. Noise is very low. I'm in a Defender, and the wind noise surpasses tire noise.
Had snow last night, and they performed well. Little to no slippage and very little ABS engagement.

Tires have 200 miles on them will update later on.

I thought I'd try these out as they were cheaper than the KO3s. So far so good, dramatic improvement in steering over the KO2s and from some wet running, a lot more wet grip. I don't have any snow or ice driving yet but will update in the future.

So far so good, I like them. Nice and comfortable and quiet. Solid offroad.
