Renault Megane RS265 Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Bridgestone Potenza Sport Evo given 98% (235-40-18)
Done about 1000 miles now. Dry grip is fantastic, super sharp and responsive. Done alot of cold (3-5 degrees) wet driving at night and they've never missed a beat. No wheelspin or loss of grip.

They absorb potholes and speed bumps wonderfully. Paid £129.99 a corner from Asda tires, they were nearly £30 a corner cheaper than Michelin which my 19inch wheels are PS4S. I prefer the Bridgestones.

I replaced some cheap unheard of brand tire with these and it completely changed my car. I have a Megane 3 RS, so I always knew I was in for a stiff ride but I always felt like I crashed into bumps on the road. The road noise was also at a horrible level. Once I repalced the cheap tires from the dealer it was like I was dealing with a different car. It no longer crashed into speed bumps and it takes minor bumps and imperfections in the road much better than before. These tires have an insane level of grip, the car feels like it's glued to the road in the dry. I have gone around some corners at eye watering speeds and you can tell they still have more in them. I think a track is the only place you could responsobly find the limits of these tires.

In the wet they provide assured confidence with plenty of stopping power. I wouldn't put these on anything that was not fast and powerful, you would just be wasting them.

My wife's honda has some of the more affordable Goodyears and they work fine for non performance cars, efficient grip I think they're called, plenty for a normal everyday people carrier.

Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 spirited miles
Phenomenal tires. They easily put the 270bhp down on the road without issue. They feel great, B-road blasts show these tires to be direct and easy to predict. Both car and the tire are much better and more capable than myself as a driver.

Heavy rain on the motorway the tire was very, very good. No wheelspin, no aquaplaning. Very confident.

Pricey in my size but worth it. No idea on wear, had these around 1500 miles.

Driving on a combination of roads for 2500 spirited miles
Great tire in the dry, but not that good in the wet. After about 15 minutes or so of "spirited" driving on the dry B roads, the tires drastically lose their grip. They start squealing in the sharp corners when they previously didn't. I bought them because I wanted a "price-performance" tire and they do the job okay. If you're serious about driving I would choose Michelin Sport 4s or Continental SportContact 7. If I would be buying again, I wouldn't buy these tires and would just go for the more expensive tires. But if you are a casual driver I would totally recommend these tires.

100% give these a chance, I've had all of the top brands on several performance cars from 200-400bhp. These are easily on par with the best of them for dry grip. Wet grip they fall a bit behind the likes of Michelin, this doesn't effect me as this car isn't my daily and only used for fun on the weekends along some B roads from the Brecon Beacons to the Mendips of Somerset, but for the price you can't go wrong. I'll 100% be sticking to these tires if they stay reasonably priced.

I've made around 25000 kms with a set of 4. The grip in the dry and in the wet were acceptable but in comparison with the price I've paid for them (around 200€/tire) they don't worth it. Comfort in the beginning was relatively good, but it clearly became worse and worse with the use of tires. The wear is too soft, so it clearly disappears in no time. The worse part... I was entering on an highway when I felt what I thought was like a metallic sound cracking coming from a rear tire and, after that, the car started shaking all over above 90km/h. I stopped, I didn't saw any anomaly. Went to my local tire dealer (where I bought the tires) and they took off the tire... and guess what... The tire was all cracked on the inside and pressure went below 1BAR. In short, it was a matter of luck to not have a blown up tire and a possible accident because of this tire. It clearly was a faulty tire because everything was ok (I check the pressure very often). I know there are new models, but avoid this at all cost. I know that Goodyear still have some stock of this model, so avoid it because it clearly has a problem!

Driving on a combination of roads for 23700 spirited miles
DUNLOP DIREZZA Z3 or ZIII whichever you prefer.. I use this for Track Days and spirited B-Road Driving. Had/experienced them on two different cars My Daily tire is a Michellin Pilot Sport 4. So my rating of the ZIII would be in comparison to that. I only want to share that the ZIII is VERY possible as a daily usage tire. You just have to drive more cautiously in the wet, but they are still decent. I rate it a 7/10. And that if you daily these, expect high wear, but not as bad as Bridgestone's AD08R. These are VERY good tires. And they easily rank one of my favourites. I am certain you wouldn't regret getting them! The Dry grip, drive and noise is also better than the AD08R, completely no reason to go for the latter, unless you are talking about the latest AD08RS from Bridgestone, which would set you back more. So just go for the ZIII.

Best all-rounder (at its price point), or especially if you can get a good deal on them, wherever you may reside. 100% no regrets. Could use a stiffer side wall, then it will be absolutely perfect. but the PS4S exists for that, but it cost quite abit more, perhaps, too much for the slight gain, so we are back to: PS4 as the best all-rounder, by-default tire to go for. There are quieter tires out there but it probably would not provide as good a combination of both Wet and Dry grip. Have also tried made in Europe and Asia version of this Tire. The Asian (Thailand for my case) one gets heated/soften more easily. other than that not much difference. I thought it might wear faster as a result, but it lasted just as long as the last Eastern Europe PS4 I had too.

Driving on a combination of roads for 13000 spirited miles
The tire comfortable and has an OK level of dry grip. It's is a perfect fit for a fast tourer or a car that mostly drives the highways. However when i took my Megane RS out of the city for a ride i found the tires very limiting as the temperature was getting higher. I put them on in July and when I was swapping them for winters in November the fronts were already nearly dead. I swapped them with the rear set for the next season, but after a month i my rear axle started drifting badly. So after 10 months I'm buying a new set. Note: The retailer i bought the PS4 from made a mistake as I ordered the PS4S originally, but as tires were already on the car when I found out i decided to give them a shot. And they proved not to be a good fit for an aggressive driving style.

Tire is really good when pushing the car hard on the corners. It loads up very nice and you can feel what is going on with the car. They do require some heat to be at their best.

A sure footed confident tire with the very best value for money ratio that i have ever found or used!!
Whatever the size of tire you need, you only need this brand.

Driving on mostly motorways for 14000 average miles
My RS 265 (with Cup pack) came with Michelin PS2 tires fitted. these managed to last a respectable 21k miles (including some rotating) before they really dropped off a cliff, and with around 3mm tread depth left I opted to change them out.

having previoulsy sworn by Kumho KU31 tires, and struggled to get these, I opted for a set of Michelin PS4 instead, thinking it would retian the same road holding and feel of the car. To a point the tires do, but athey really arent brilliant in the wet and are a great drop down from the PS2's taht came with the car originally.

at the cost I paid, and only having had 14k miles out a set, they are now at 3mm and have experienced the same dramatic fall off in grip as the PS2 had - which suggests that I really need to change them now, lots of tramlining especially in the wet, and as I live in Scotland, thats pretty much all year round.

these tires havent been pushed too hard, most driving is on a motorway - which is generally in traffic at 30mph!!! :), with maybe 2-3k miles on country roads.

overall I am very disappointed, had they lasted another 6k miles, I probably would replace with a newer set - but I wont buy these again. wear too fast, grip drops dramatically when at around 50% tread depth left - I am off to find an alternative.
