Volkswagen Golf 7 GTI PP DSG Tire Review Highlights
That was my first experience with all seasons tires and it was a surprisingly good one. They have lasted 3 years (from November 2022 to December 2025) and only 36.000 km because I had to replace them when they still had 5mm of tread depth as they've suddenly started to loose their great grip on wet surface in low temperature this winter (this was very strange). Beside that they have been amazing tires during these 3 years (with an engaged driving style). I've had just very few days of very light snow so difficult to judge them on that criteria. I have now just ordered the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 as I wanted to try something new. See you in 3 years for the next review :)

3 out of 4 tires had a hefty trebel and side hit. Wohle Car was houling and shaking. Rims and chassis setting was checkted, everything was perfect. Tire shop switched to Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 3 - all noises and shakeing gone. Goodyear ist noticable more comfortabel, but also less feedback and the longer brakeing distance is also anounces itself. Pirelli is the better tire, but the quality is unacceptable.

This was my second set of tires on aftermarket 17x8" wheels. They were a bit oversized for the wheel width, but they did feel great. Kept at higher pressures to minimize sidewall deflection, which generally did not negatively affect tire NVH. I drive maybe 12,000mi/yr, and these lasted me a solid 15mo.

Had a set on a Mk7 Golf GTI for a short period of time and can categorically say they are one of the worst tires I've ever driven on.
Dry grip is acceptable but wet grip is an absolute joke.
Road noise is noticeable and road feedback is dull.
Switched to a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and they immediately transformed the car. If you actually care about driving and the safety of your vehicle, I wouldn't recommend cheaping out on a set of Triangles.

These tires are nasty. Poor in the dry and borderline dangerous in the wet. Noisey, provide minimal feedback and when they slide there is next to no warning or progression.
They came on a new Golf Mk7 GTI and then a MK8 GTI.
Removed from both cars once the engines were bedded in (circa 1,000 miles) and replaced with Pilot Sport tires instead.
Why VW fit this garbage on a ‘sporty’ car I have no idea. Presumably they get a good deal on a 12 year old design from Bridgestone.

Probably one of the best tires you can buy if you need some amount of snow and cold weather ability but still want excellent sporty performance. The dry/wet performance is about 80% of what you'd get with a summer tire, but you can run it in the shoulder seasons or in light winter weather. My main complaints are that the steering response isn't as good as the previous AS3+. The right quality is pretty average for an all season tire, but its OK. All around great options.

Used to have potenzas s001 which were not the best tires, but enough for my driving style.. when i bought these i knew they were going to lack the dynamic driving, but i never thought they would put the car all over the place on highway speed or even at slow speed. No grip at all on wet surface, only thing good is wear tread. Changed to PS5 to recover the usability of my GTI.

Having used potenza's s001 and pirelli cinturato p1 plus, i have to say these are by far the best in every aspect. The most shocking difference apart from dry and wet grip is the comfort of the ride. I can drive around with 38/40 psi without having to pay a visit to the dentist.
The handling may not be as dynamic as the best of best tires, but its way more than what the other two offered.
After having used pirellis for 5k kms i can say i have recovered the dynamic handling of a GTI.

Dry grip is exceptional for an all season tire, while wet grip still exceeds my expectations. Hydroplaning has been virtually nonexistent since this tire has been fitted. Even more surprising are the wear characteristics. I've done a few days of light tracking on these tires and it still looks as if I could get another 20,000 miles out of them.
While I have not yet experienced their capabilities in the winter, given their superior performance across the board when compared against the tires I had previously, I maintain a high level of confidence.

Bought these tires based on this websites reviews and videos on Youtube. Fitted approx 1,000km ago to my Mk7 Golf GTI Performance to replace the original Dunlop Sport Maxx tires which were past their used by date. Tires are too new to comment on wear and wet weather (has only rained once when I have been driving) but in the dry I am very happy with the grip and feedback from these tires.
The tires are quiet and grippy, and with a treadwear of 320 they should give a good life/grip balance. They also have an attractive sidewall and tread pattern.
