Driving on mostly town for 2000 easy going miles
This was the first time I switched to West Lake after using bigger brands like Bridgestone, Goodyear, etc. The West Lake tires are good in dry and wet conditions for regular every day drive. Actually, I felt very confident in my VW beetle with these tires. Having said that, the tires were so uncomfortable and noisy. I swapped them out after using for 6 months. My wife was pregnant and said that the baby might come out sooner if I continue to keep these on. STAY AWAY.

Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 average miles
At first they seemed like decent tires, with good enough grip on both dry and wet road, but somewhat noisy. Sometimes driven on the limits, they offered good grip on turns. After the first 20000km (driven in ~18 months) they had lost only 10% of their performance. Still after 40000 they were moderately worn out and gave a quite safe sensation on dry, less on wet road. After 6 years and 60000km they are OK, making them "Last man standing" champions, I've never seen anything like that
