Hyundai i20N Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Yokohama Advan Sport V107 given 86% (225-40-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10 spirited miles
These tires are the best ones I've tried (always talking about a performance tire that is not a semi).
The dry handling is insane. On wet, it's not the best one but it's ok. The problem is that is usually lasts from 8k to 10k KM if you drive hard on them and about 12k to 15k KM if you do a calm/normal drive. Comfort is not important because the i20N is not a comfort car in general.
My overall rating would be a 9/10 for road use and it's the best tire if you like to drive hard on the road.

Driving on a combination of roads for 7500 average miles
Front tires only lasted 7500m before needing replacing, shocking

Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 spirited miles
Good predictability in the dry, I didn't particularly dare in the wet, the front tires wear out quite quickly, especially if you use the car properly.

Driving on track for 200 spirited miles
Used these exclusively on track with my i20N. They lasted 4 track days, averaging about 4 sessions each, about 250-300km in total. Suppose they could do another couple of sessions if I was feeling adventurous, but they look just about done. The last track day was at Brno with a track temperature of 54C which they clearly did not like. Overall happy with them, its been years since I spent so much time on track so don't have recent comparisons.Grip was good, although noticed quite a large difference in performance outside of the operating window.

Driving on a combination of roads for 8 easy going miles
The tires came with a brand new car I purchased 8 months ago, an Hyundai i20n. I'm sorry but they're diabolical. When coming out of my drive way or junctions if the road is even slightly damp, the don't grip at all and slip. After doing just over 7 thousand miles the front ones wore down to illegal levels. The rear wasn't as bad, but was getting near being illegal. At that amount of miles these tires should never have worn down that much. I'm not the only one this has happened to. I don't drive like an idiot, I'm a careful lady driver with an advanced driving qualification. I have now changed them to Michelin PS5's which are a thousand times much better.

Driving on a combination of roads for 3200 spirited miles
A very good value tire with fairly decent grip in the dry, and good wear after 3000+ miles. I generally drive near the limit of these tires when possible but they feel best suited to cruising with the occasional spirited blast on a b-road. Wet performance is not as good as anticipated, it’s acceptable but braking distance is around the same as the Pirelli P-Zero PZ4 HN tires factory fitted to my car, a softer compound with more dry grip than the Toyo’s but very high wear when used in less than ideal temperatures. If I was on a budget I’d consider these tires again but I will likely get Continental/Goodyear tires next time, or Michelin PS5’s if a deal is available.
