Audi A6 Avant 3.0 TDI Quattro Tire Review Highlights
Have no comparison on this vehicle with other tires yet.
Was driving on snow this year multiple times and felt safe all the time.
Never felt disadvantages on dry and wet roads.
It is a bit wobbly, since it‘s not a performance tire.
Downside is a whine at about 70 to 80 km/h, which appeared from the first day. Also I have the feeling that it should be more silent in general.
The noise is the reason I would not buy it again.
Furthermore small pieces of the profile are getting lose. Maybe this is due to driving it fast in summer on the Autobahn with unlimited speed (top speed of vehicle is 250 km/h).

Wet grip -amazing
Dry grip - amazing
Snow - bloody decent
These tires blew my mind, these are now my GO TO tires for my cars.
I live in the Highlands so wanted tires for my A6 daily Quattro diesel that did both very wet and dry. Well, in the wet they are Phenomenal, the car Is like glue on wet bends, hitting puddles etc etc. They ooze reassurance and give you better confidence and safety.
Yes it's a Quattro but, previous pirellis just lost traction in certain situations. I
t handles amazing, never once lost slightest grip and they feel so stable.
In the dry, again phenomenal. They really gel to warm tarmac. Road noise is minimal too!!
And, BONUS was that they performed damn well in heavy thick snow which I was not counting on, they plough through I think partly to the huge channels in the tires stopping the tread compacting with snow but don't use for that reason haha. Highly recommend these they are amazing.

Ok, so I had these tires for 3 months, but I did 10 000 km already. In the city they are fine. But few days ago I was in a heavy snow on a highway, almost all cars drove slowly,, but I decided to test Alpin 7. Left lane, through snow, no problem. Slight undersreer only. Excellent tire, top marks for snow. Ride comfort is fantastic. On dry roads they are a bit softer, but for a winter tire, it is just fine.

One of the best tires I've fitted to my car. No problem handling my 2 ton A6 C6 3.0tdi quattro in dry or wet. Very progressive near the limits, in wet and dry.
First noticable aquaplaning started occuring when the tread depth got down to wear limit (1.6mm) and even so, the aquaplaning was progressive and very controllable, unlike the kind that cheap tires have that tend to suddenly lose all grip.
Was expecting a lot more than 28 000 km out of these tires althought they are the first premium tires I've bought new and driven to the absolute end of life so maybe my expectations are too high.

What a tire! Bought the tire for my A6 Avant 3.0tdi Quattro to replace the Fulda tires which were really terrible on this car. The eagle f1 SS have now done over 57000km and just measured the tread depths as I am selling the car; still 4mm all around!!! Just mindblowing. Apart from the impressive wear figures, the tire has been really good, especially dry handling and stability at high speeds(lots of Autobahn on them). But also nothing to complain about wet grip, never had any iffy moments on them but run a set of winter tires when below 10 deg C. Comfort is always a thing when these tires are reviewed and although it is not most comfortable, it was not an issue on my A6 (with air suspension though), combined with 18in 245/45 tires. So in short, wonderful tire for a heavy powerful diesel, grippy, stable, and amazing wear!

Bought these tires because of the lack of wet grip and quick wear on my previous GoodYear Eagle F1 SuperSport, to which the new ones were driven straight back-to-back.
First off the bat, the SC7s are way quieter, way more comfortable, the small bumps and imperfections don't make as much noise as they did on the SSs. The steering feel was more direct - the SSs had a slightly longer delay in response to steering wheel inputs compared to the SC7s, the Contis still have a delay, but just a little shorter one. Dry grip was lacking on the SC7s, but that was at first thought to have been just due to the tire being brand new and not being run-in yet. On the wet, I've taken it easy for the first thousand miles to not have an incident on the road.
After about 4000 miles, I can say that the SC7s are a straight dream in the wet. Where the SS would start to understeer on tight corners, the SC7 would show not even a hint of deviation from the wheels' direction. Where on the SSs the car would laterally slide out of the corner on hard acceleration, the SC7s would allow for as much acceleration after the apex as the puny 240HP allow the car to at a slight steering angle. So a complete dream to drive in the wet. Even after the tires were definitely run-in, the SC7s would leave much to be desired in the dry. The dry grip is good, but the SSs edge the SC7s. Where SSs were driven hard with some safety reserve, the SC7s would already lose grip and slide, bringing the comfortable cornering speeds down significantly. Where on quick alternating turns and changes of input the SSs wouldn't even flinch, the SC7s start sliding and shift the car laterally. Pre corner lift from accelerator pedal to braking pedal while already turning in the corner would shift the entire car outwards. Mid corner change from acc to braking because of a bad corner length estimate does the same on the SC7s. The SSs didn't care for abrupt imput and transfers, they would just stick to the asphalt.
The conclusion on the tires is still, that these SC7s are the best tires in the wet so far, but for the improved wet performance, noise and comfort over the SSs, the sacrifice on dry performance was made. That leaves me somewhat disappointed, as the SSs were so bad in the wet they weren't really fun at such low corner forces, but the SC7s shine in that area. So the only current solution is to have a dry set of tires for my car - Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport, and a set of wet tires - Continental SportContact 7.
I really can not comment on the wear, because the both tires are awful in that regard, but that's not a problem, as it's way better to be safe and glued to the asphalt for the 8000 miles I got from a set of 4 SSs with rotations and maybe 9000ish I expect to get from the SC7s, than to have tires perform badly and last for 13000 miles or even more.

Blew two tires in a pot hole. The other tires were due for replacement at the time. So I bit the bullet and bought 4 of what the garage had in stock. They told me me they were not premium. Which was honest. The Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance I had from new were very good. I would be telling a lie if I said I didn’t notice the difference. But surprisingly very little compromises. Main differences are in the wet (traction light on setting off from traffic lights) but I got used to them and they feel confident now. Fuel is is better which I don’t understand. They seem to be lasting longer too. Can’t fault them to date.

Much quieter and more comfortable than the P0 Pirelli tires they replaced. The A6 Audi is a touring car for me, often in wet Seattle weather. No hydroplaning ever even at speed. Excellent stability and braking gives great confidence.

Grip on these tires is excellent, both in wet and dry. Subjectively the handling feel of my car has improved significantly with these tires as well. The Audi A6 Avant Quattro (2016, 272 hp) is not the best handling car in the world but the upgrade from comfort oriented tires (Fulda Sport Control 2 which were actually terrible) to the more sporty tires (this Eagle F1 Supersport) has done this car a lot of good in every sense! Even for comfort they are quite good and apart from the really hard short bumps ( not that bad either) I would say comfort has actually improved in other scenarios. The tire just feels meaty but not harsh. This tire is exactly what this car needed to improve the driving enjoyment! I strongly recommend this tire for heavier, powerful non-SUV cars.

The Tire feels comfortable at low inner city speeds. That is its only quality.
Noise levels are on the high side at speeds above 60kph.
Dry grip is average and becomes low as speeds increase. It is outright scary at speeds above 150 kph when even in slight corners the car feels unstable at speed and steering is vague. Even the relative comfort disappears at higher autobahn speeds. This behavior also applies to wet conditions. In comparison, to my previous tires this tire has disappointed in every aspect.
If your car is relatively powerful/heavy and you intend to use it for long stretches on the highway I would avoid it. Its comfort at low speed might be enticing for people who intend this tire for motoring in cities only.

Great tires. They are not expensive, they behave very well, they are not noisy - what more could a person want. The winter ones are of the same brand (Nexen) - again a wonderful choice.
