Lexus LS430 Tire Review Highlights
The price of the tires is low and they are made in Germany, but they are considered harsh and make annoying noises when driving the car. I will not buy this type again.

I don't know if it's the tire or if Lexus LS owners have never driven a luxury car before, but my 2001 LS430 isn't any more quiet than my e39. On coarse asphalt the car rumbles quite loudly; on cement freeways at speed there is an incessant, pronounced road noise in the 250Hz to 2,000Hz range that sounds like, "SCHHHH", with virtually everything driven over producing thumps and bangs. Driving over fresh asphalt at the same speed silences the interior and provides immediate relief. I do not believe the LS430 to quite match Cadillacs from the 1980s in terms of noise and harshness suppression. The LS430 is quieter than a family sedan, but not by much.
The Bridgestone Potenzas may be part of the cause, I don't know. I bought the car with the tire. But past experience with an LS400 test drive years ago tells me the car is more to blame and not the tire...

These tires are on a Lexus LS430 V8, so not a light or small car! It weighs over 2 tonnes. I was originally surprised to find the tread depth was only 7mm, when other tires I have had were usually around 10mm or so. I have now done 10,000 km and they show no discernable tire wear, still on 7mm. Mind you, at my age, (78) I don't usually drive hard now, but still have the odd GO!! I previously had GT Radials which started off pretty quiet, but quickly became very noisy, such that the car was not nice to drive, sounded like a couple of wheel bearings on their last legs! Had to get rid of them because of the excessive noise! For an inexpensive tire, I have so far been pretty impressed with the Petlas tires .

Exceptional tires. Quiet, comfortable, grippy. You trade some mileage and durability for the excellent handling and safety, but for me that is a tradeoff I am willing to make. Highly recommended.

I have bought a car with four Evergreen tires on it (225/55 x 17). The tires were a bit soft when I got the car, so I pumped them up to the recommended 40psi. Two weeks later, they are at 12.5, 15, 15, and 18psi. I can't live with this kind of loss of pressure. I think if it was a valve problem, it would be just the one tire. All four tires were fitted in April 2015, about 7-8,000 miles ago, by the Station View Garage in Plymouth. They are already part worn at the outsides, I imagine due to gross under-inflation.

I recently bought a set of 4 of the sports comforter plus summer tire 245 45 R18 for a very cheap price of about $58 each. My first impression about the tire is that it has an above average grip in dry and wet although I also noticed that the tread wasn't as deep as the turanzas I used to own, visually maybe 6 or 7 mm. These wheels did have some notable noise at low speeds that I never experienced with other brands however it isn't too loud just noticeable. Also my ls 430 has a sensitive indirect Tpms that started malfunctioning ever since I installed these tires showing me a low tire message even though all tires are inflated to the recommended pressure, this might be due to a very slight difference in the profile of one of the tires, and could also be because of a genuine Tpms malfunction.

very noisy tire, good grip in the dry only average in the wet. very easy to spin the rears on damp wet roads. only 7000 miles of average driving and they are on the wear indicators.

Good dry grip but still possible to spin the rears when pulling out, much worse in the wet. Noisy on poor surfaces and quite jarring on small imperfections at motorway speeds, both of these traits are dependant upon tire pressure. At full load pressure the noise is much worse. generaly good around town at slow speeds. Back to a more conventional tread pattern for the next set.
