Ford Focus 2002 Hatchback Tire Review Highlights
Very nice and stable tires. It doesn't matter if it's dry or wet, they are not afraid of potholes and bad road. I will buy again.

Worst tire ever on my mk1 Focus. I fitted them since i was looking for something sporty on 15 inches but never did the job on either dry or wet roads. Disappointed.

My experience with these tires:
-very good as summer tires, with high levels of grip in the dry
-decent as winter tires
-they retain the same characteristics in any outside temperature
Some things to point out:
-they have been quite noisy throughout their life
-the sidewall is taller compared to other same size tires (dispite this, the handling is very good)
-although the tire pressures were always correct and regularly checked, the edges did wear faster than the inside of the tires. Higher tire pressures seemed to solve this problem slightly

Marvellous grip in the dry, crossing white lines in the wet, not so good. My mistake was I bought 225/45/17 tires, instead of original size 215/45/17. On bumpy country roads, which is the custom in England ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ the width of the tires scrape against the front wheel arches, though the rear is unconcerned . I will indeed buy them again, in the original SVT Focus size.

These are the worst tires I have ever experienced, by far. I would even say that they are dangerous.
They replaced 4 Uniroyal RainExpert tires which were very worn-out. Apart from the fact that they were noisier, the
worn-out Uniroyal tires were much better than the brand new Toyos.
Positive: -they are quiet
-quite comfortable, although not as comfortable as you would expect from such a soft sidewall
Negative: -slow steering response and poor grip on dry, wet and snow
-very long braking distances in all conditions
-very soft sidewall which gives awful handling characteristics
-imprecise steering with very little steering feel
-unstable feel at all speeds, dangerous almost. In corners, the back end is all over the place
-the car is leaning much more into corners, compared with other tires
It may sound harsh, but this is my honest experience.
I am replacing them after 10000 miles, even if they seem to have tread left for another ~15000 miles.
There is nothing wrong with the car, these are the first tires that made the car behave like this.
The results are the same with any tire pressure.
I know that you can buy Toyo Celsius tires made in different countries.
These 4 have written on the sidewalls: Made in Japan.
