Drivers rate the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE004 very highly, most often praising its sharp steering response, strong dry grip, and confident, predictable cornering thanks to its stiff sidewalls. Wet performance is generally described as good and a clear step up over the RE003, though a few compare it as slightly behind Michelin PS4/PS5 in heavy-wet feel. I really love these, save for the terrible wear rate, I'm definitely buying again.

Tire wear is impressive so far.
Compared to the older RE003, the sidewall isn’t quite as brick-stiff and as razor shard, yet it actually delivers a touch more outright dry grip. It’s still very much a stiff-carcass performance tire, so the steering stays direct and response is immediate. Mid-corner stability is strong, and it is very predictable it is at the limit—it slides progressively and never catches me out. On the E30, the RE004 also cleans up that last bit of understeer, especially versus the old Turanza AR-10 which always has a little bit understeer on turn in. With the Koni/H&R setup already tightening things up, the RE004 complements the car without making the ride punishing.
In the wet, it’s a step up from the RE003, but it’s not a rain specialist. Ride comfort is also a bit nicer than the RE003, which makes it easier to live with day-to-day.
Ps: I do tire rotation every 12k km.
Immediately, I noticed a difference in terms of steering feedback and turn-in response. Overall grip is also slightly improved in the dry. In the wet, grip feels similar on a FWD hot hatch. The drawback is that the ride is slightly harsher but comfort is not my priority so that’s an acceptable trade off.
Still too early to comment on wear but I expect the RE004 to wear faster than the PS5 for sure. They are slightly cheaper to replace though. Overall, will recommend this tire to anyone who enjoys driving and will definitely consider buying again.
