Achilles ATR Sport 2 215-45-17-W Honda EM1 Civic VTi R 1,000 miles February 14, 2014

been using a few UHP tires such as Yoko Ad07,Toyo T1R,B'stone RE001 and Federal 595evo before. suprisingly, this ATR sport 2 is at same level of dry/wet grip as those mentioned tires above. but with half of the price.
use them daily and spirited up/downhill drive on weekend.
got them for RM250/pc (around 76usd) and definitely will buy it again.

Toyo Proxes 4 205-40-17- Honda EM1 Civic VTi R October 1, 2010

Everyone seems to be giving these tires a high rating for road noise, I have experienced quite differently. I am starting to think there is something wrong with the ones on my car, they have over 80% tread still on them but are second hand which could be the reason. They seem to make a whirring noise at all speeds but below 20KPH and slowing down or speeding up they make the car vibrate, not a bad wheel alignment or bad balancing vibration but a tire pattern vibration.

However the traction in the dry is amazing, I would rate them the same if not a little better then the kumho KU25s I had before.

No rain since I've had them on the car so I don't know what they are like in the wet. Can't comment on wear either.

One other thing to note is the rim protection is awesome! comes out over the rim by quite a bit and I would imagine that they should protect the wheels very well. My KU25's failed at this and it made me sad.

I don't understand why there are so many people complaining about road noise. Yes they do create a bit of noise but its not that bad, the pattern on the tire (from what I have read) is one of the worst for noise. My opinion is they are quiet enough and my car isn't the most insulated car either. Performance wise they were very good in dry, once they got warm they stuck very well and the car nosed in around round-a-bouts under power quite well. Wet conditions I would have to drive slow to prevent crazy understeer though. coming off the power and turning in I could get a nice controlled slide. (All canberra, Australia Roads)

Wear was not too bad I think I have gotten about 15,000KM out of them and they realistically have another 4,000ish KM.

I would buy these again but am going to try the KU31's next to see how they compare, I've been told they are better.
