BMW 540I Tire Review Highlights
I've just had these recently fitted to my 17" alloys on my Japanese import BMW E39 540i Sport as I always have a set of alloys with tires for summer; and a separate set for over winter etc. However, this time I decided not to go for dedicated winters, but rather all-seasons and bought these on the strength of Jons reviews on Youtube etc.
Have done around 400 miles on them so far on a road trip around Anglesey & North Wales and then literally the last few days doing chores from home, in the wet.
So they've had a good dry run and now some good wet runs They're superb! Very planted / grippy in the wet; and very grippy in the dry. Albeit temps haven't been below c12ºC recently; I'd say they'll fair even better when it gets colder! Quiet, smooth and comfortable as well; which is exactly what I want from my tires anyway and why I sold the 18" alloys and moved back to 17s for that added comfort/extra sidewall etc Looking forward to seeing how these do in the colder temps but also when we travel up to the Highlands in Dec & Feb

Put these tires to the sword and they were superlative in every respect. Nothing more to be added!

These came with my car, and right off, I knew I'd be replacing them. The grip isn't great, especially in the wet/cold, and the comfort level is poor (perhaps just due to the run-flat nature). They crash into every minor road imperfection and constantly seem to jiggle the car, the passengers, and most annoyingly, the driver. In addition, they don't look good. They're very rounded on the shoulders, so they appear to be narrower than other tires I've had of this size (245 r 19 in the front, 275 r 19 in the rear). It seems like they don't fill the wheel well properly or something. It's hard to describe, but I didn't feel this way with the last car (BMW 535 with the same size wheels front and back) that came with Bridgestones or Michelins, I don't remember. And perhaps this rounded shape reduces the size of the contact patch resulting in the reduced grip? But I'm very happy to report that the new Michelin PS 4S's get put on next Wednesday, and these will just be a disappointing memory.

We drive daily 100km on these tires at or about 100km/hr.
The car sits on the road briliantly, wet or dry, overtaking or cornering. The cabin noise is low and the steering wheel feel is good at all times.
We have yet to try frost or ice but we have to wait for winter for that :)

When new really good. On the front I developed a vibration in the tires.. My garage said they are not entirely round anymore. Very strange since I never hitted anything.
So maybe somewhat sensitive to damage.

Great tire. Got these for a good price in 2014 and I do drive my car like it has a V8 and sports suspension in it, shows in the wear on the rears - they are almost at indicators after 30000kms... fronts have a fair bit left. If I get 50000 out of them that will be what the guy who sold them to me said. I will totally buy these again if I can. Quiet and comfortable on the cruise, and lots of grip when I want.

I was surprised -- pleasantly surprised -- at the quality and road feel of these tires. I would buy them again, and still am surprised at their excellent value to price.
