Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 litre TS Sp3 Tires

Got them on my Alfa 156 on the rear tbh not much wrong with them would I buy again maybe

I chose the P1 verde hoping that the will be better than P1 which they were not so good in traction and comfort. Fortunately the performane was very well improved. On dry roads there is a lot of grip, even on slippery asphalt and they are very progressive when the limit is passed. Maybe there are one or two other brands that will perform a little better in the dry, but the amazing grip on wet roads, make the pirelli a very good all round tire. The ride comfort is very good, they are quiet, even at this amount of millage, and the best part is that they are very very communicative. You can feel the exact amount of grip, the different tarmacs, everything. Now at 18000kms they start to loose some of the grip characteristics, but not in an alarming way. In general a very good tire with no disadvantage and well priced.

Great tires in every way, except that they wear out very fast. Despite having the tracking on my car set to 0º as recommended on Alfa forums and driving carefully the tires have already lost 2mm of tread at the front in only 4000 miles. I guess that is the price you pay for excellent all round performance. They are not too expensive to replace however at around £50 per corner in my size.

Fitted these to my 16 wheels to replace the awful Dunlop tires which are standard fitment on my car, which was hopeless in dry or wet.

The difference between these and the P6000's are like night and day. Excellent grip in all conditions. Even though i have used it for 20k km, hardly any problems and it wears evenly.

I just wonder why people complain about these tires?
Once it runs for about 10km and heats up, it is excellent for grip on my Alfa.

Just had 4 new 205/60 R15 V tires fitted a few weeks ago to an Alfa 156 2.0 saloon that I have owned for 8 years. Well what a difference from the old Pire1li tires. They are comfortable, quiet, except for riding on badly ripped up tarmac, feel very secure in wet and dry.

In fact they have transformed the car so much that in particular the front end feels like I am in completely new car. How long do they last, well no idea as I only do around 6k per year. Highly recommended and good value.

Very good tire, much better that more expensive Michelin, with harder sides and very progressive. It reaches operation temperature quickly and it will never betray you. Very good all around tire.

Grip is excellent with these tires, in both wet and dry conditions. They are also cheaper than comparable Bridgestones and Michelins. The tire is also much quieter than earlier Goodyear Eagle F1's.
However wear rate is not good. After 8000 miles on the front of my car they were finished. I replaced them with a set of Falken FK-452 which seem to grip equally as well but seem to be wearing a lot better.
