Performance Analysis
Drawn from 5 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.
The Lassa Snoways 4 repeatedly struggles with snow braking. It placed 29th of 31 in Auto Bild's 2023 braking test, 28th of 33 in 2024 and 29th of 32 in 2025, with stopping distances 12.1%, 18% and 12.5% longer than best respectively. ADAC's 2023 test reinforced that weakness: snow braking was 15th of 16 and traction last, while the testers criticised early loss of traction and a narrow safety margin in snow handling. It finished 15th of 16 overall, with ice braking also near the bottom at 14th.
Aquaplaning resistance was a clear strength in that ADAC test, placing third in a straight line and second on a curve. Dry steering feedback and precision also earned praise, and projected life was rated good. Braking was less convincing against the field than ADAC's favorable written assessment might suggest: dry braking was 13th of 16 and wet braking 14th, despite both receiving positive comments. Across Auto Bild's 2022-2025 tests, wet braking positions were around midfield, but distances remained 13.3% to 25.5% longer than best. These results give the tire a more balanced wet-road record than its consistently weak snow stopping performance.

2023 ADAC 16 Inch Tire Test
The LASSA SNOWAYS 4 provides good steering feedback and precision on dry roads, with satisfactory limit behavior and good braking performance. On wet roads, it performs well in braking and aquaplaning tests but lacks the precision needed for a good handling rating. On winter roads, the tire struggles, earning only satisfactory ratings in braking and traction tests and a poor rating in handling. It loses traction early and has a narrow limit of safety, making precise maneuvering difficult. Ice braking performance is also only satisfactory. Environmentally, the tire narrowly misses a good rating. Its projected lifespan and wear are rated as good, but its high weight results in only a satisfactory efficiency rating.
