Performance Analysis

Drawn from 11 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Fulda MultiControl has a recurring dry and wet braking weakness across the Auto Bild all-season shootouts. In the 2025 All Season 30 Tire Braking Test it finished 28th of 30 overall, with dry braking last, 18.4% longer than the best, and wet braking 27th, 29.8% longer. In the 2024 All Season Tire Market Overview dry braking was 36th of 37, 20.7% behind the best, and wet braking 27th, 28.7% behind. The 2023 shootout also put both braking results near the back, continuing the broadly weak braking record from 2019 onwards.

Earlier full tests were more favorable. Auto Bild rated it Satisfactory in 2016, fourth of ten, praising snow performance, handling, comfort and value, but still criticising wet braking. Second of eight in the 2019 ACE GTU test is unusually strong beside the braking results; it led on snow but struggled on wet and dry roads. The 2018 Gute Fahrt summer and all-season comparison recorded third overall despite last-place dry braking, wet braking and aquaplaning. That unusual placing does not overturn the measured limitations, especially in a mixed-type field. Comfort was praised there too, but its older snow and comfort benefits need weighing against repeated long stops.
