Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

The Nankang Cross Seasons AW-6 tire receives an overall adequate rating for driving safety. It shows significant weaknesses on dry roads at high temperatures and clearly misses good ratings on both wet and winter surfaces.

On dry surfaces, the tire offers only adequate steering feedback and lacks precision. The driver must make frequent corrections due to delayed steering response and inconsistent cornering. The test vehicle tends to oversteer early in dynamic maneuvers, resulting in an adequate rating for limit behavior. Braking distance is rated as satisfactory.

On wet roads, the Cross Seasons AW-6 performs satisfactorily overall. It receives satisfactory ratings for braking and aquaplaning performance but only an adequate rating in handling. The tire struggles to combine longitudinal and lateral forces effectively, showing early and pronounced under- or oversteer.

In winter conditions, the Nankang achieves a satisfactory result. It scores well in snow and ice braking, but only satisfactory in traction and snow handling. The test vehicle offers satisfactory steering precision, but with a narrow and low performance limit.

Environmentally, the Chinese-made Nankang Cross Seasons AW-6 receives a satisfactory rating. While its wear is rated as good, it narrowly misses a good rating for projected mileage. Fuel consumption is acceptable, but high weight results in an adequate efficiency rating. The tire scores poorly in sustainability, lacking ISO certifications and showing production residues that unnecessarily impact the environment during initial use.

Given 92% while driving a Suzuki swift sport (205/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
I have the set of NS2R for trackdays and I am very satisfied in general. I gave the chance for these all season nankang tires. Previously I had Hankook 4s2 and Bridgestone LM005. If I compare nankangs and hankoos, I have feeling that nankang is better in everything. It's maybe because I also changed the size from 205 40 r17 to 205 45 r17. Just handling is worse in compare with Hankooks. Basically Hankooks were more sporty and had more precise handling. And the price? Mind blowing. I rated the wear with 10 points because I don't need to have them 4-5 years. I prefer fresh tires. So for me it's more than enough.

Wet - almost no wheel spin and confident feeling (the car has 219HP and turbo kit from greddy :D)
Dry - very good but I miss the precession little bit
Snow - very good, maybe like some Matador or Barum winter tires
Ice - the same as on the snow

Given 81% while driving a Skoda Superb MK3 (2015 Present) (215/55 R18) on a combination of roads for 4,000 average miles
Overall a good tire all around. Low noise compared to my previous falken summer tires. Lower feedback from front tires at low speeds. Good at high speed on highways. Exceptional in wet conditions and lower temperatures. No signs of higher fuel consumption. Braking is good in wet and dry conditions. Can take some spirited driving in corners which suprises me. Not the best in everything but it does fairly okay everywhere. Overall a good tire for its price and i feel confident. I recommend

Great all rounders, certainly no compromises on previous summer tires.
Quiet, comfortable, decent wear rate, affordable.

Given 82% while driving a Honda CRV (215/65 R16) on mostly country roads for 15,000 average miles
Have these on my 2006 Honda Crv. Also had previous version 607+ , the new tires are just as good as the old. Handling and response are not the most important part as when the weather is freezing or ice is on the ground I slow down. Traction is great with the AWD rarely cutting in which is surprising as with the original fit Bridgestones it often came on in wet conditions.
Braking is fine ABS has only activated a few times , mainly on sheet ice and black ice. It plows through mud and had no problem with wet grass on a hill in a field, it was noted that a couple of Range Rovers struggled but it appeared their tires were performance oriented.
Wear seems to be fine , grip in the dry is perfectly acceptable it's not a sportscar so not thrown around.
Price wise significantly cheaper than the top brands, but are they that much lower in performance ?
In conclusion they are an excellent all round tire which have proved their worth in bad conditions and have been excellent in snow and ice.
P.s. have put a set on the family runaround, 2001 Yaris ..transformed the wet weather grip

Great tires, had 4 fitted on my wife's Mokka and we just drove through snow and ice in Cumbria. Very confident ride and good on a steep section with snow and mud also.

Really good for the price, good noise levels and I have not noticed any problems with grip in the wet and dry.

So I bought a set of these tires for my diesel car as I wanted to have all-season tires for a nice price. Noise is really low so that is nice. Dry grip is great too. Wet grip is bad. During an emergency break on a wet road the car skidded. And that happend twice. During wet weather I am not that confident with these tires. I have never drivven these tires on icy of snowy roads. The rubber feels pretty soft. That could suggest that the tire will wear quickly. I don’t think I will buy these tires again when I need new ones.

Given 88% while driving a SEAT Ateca Xcellence (215/50 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Recently fitted and the overall ride is noticeably better from the factory fitted Bridgestone's. Tire noise is much lower and overall comfort superb. During this current period of torrential rain the wet grip and handling is A1 and more confidence down B-roads in a mid-size SUV. Will update should snow appear in the coming months. Overall recommended and would buy these again.

Given 80% while driving a MINI Cooper (205/65 R15) on a combination of roads for 400 spirited miles
This is an early review as I've only had these all-seasons tires on my car for about 400 miles, but as there's no other reviews I thought I'd give a first impressions. They are quite cheap tires, but so far I've been very impressed. Good levels of grip on wet and dry roads, and noticeably grippier than my summer tires on cold (I've not yet encountered icy conditions) slimy/muddy roads. The level of noise is much lower than I expected and well controlled. I'll try an update this review when I've done a few more miles/encountered some snow or ice. So far they have inspired confidence and as i drive a mini it inspires me to chuck it about and requires decent grip.
