Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

Apollo Alnac 4g 195-55-16 Opel meriva 15,000 miles September 29, 2026

I received these Apollo tires as a birthday gift from my nephew. They were lightly used—only about 2,000 miles on his previous car before he sold it with winter tires on.

I installed them on my family's Opel Meriva A without expecting too much. For context, I regularly drive different company cars equipped with all the premium tire brands, so I have a solid benchmark for comparison.

Frankly, these Apollo tires dropped my jaw. They are right in line with premium brands, offering great driving stability in both dry and wet conditions. They are remarkably comfortable and low-noise. How can a tire from India be this good???

Nexen N Blue HD Plus 205-55-16 Opel Meriva B 1.4 LPG 30,000 miles May 8, 2025
Run on this tire for 50K+ KMs in total with 2 different cars, 2 different sizes. When I was using it on my Ford Fiesta, tires didn't lose it's characteristics after 2 years and 30K+ KMs. So I did buy another set for my new car, Opel Meriva. I will buy again when I need new tires.

Best choice for the price. Comfort is very good and noise is low. Wet grip is very good, dry grip is much better than its price range.
When its wet, I force the car on turns to test the limits, I can't even let it lose grip. I used to buy only premium tires like Continental or Michelin but after using those Nexens I don't think I will pay 2x more for premium tires ever again.

Worst winter tire I've ever had! It was sliding on cold wet tarmac as brand new; several months later it didn't stop at all with 40 km/h on cold wet tarmac, and I almost hit another car. Had to slam my car against the sidewalk to stop it somehow. Never buy this tire if you need a winter tire!

In snow, the longitudinal (throttle, brake) feels very weak. But the lateral grip is somehow perfectly fine. Its characteristics make it unsteady to drive, because it gives much more in a corner than in a single brake application, where you have to count on it to slide.

I purchased a set of these as new in 2017 (production year 2017 also). Summer tire is Bridgestone ER300. Comparing to this summer tire - very quiet tire, I was astonished - and still am. This is the least noisy winter tire ever, furthermore it is more quiet then many summer tires I owned in the past. Big plus. This is their second season. Another big plus - they are visibly more fuel efficient than the said Bridgestones. Wow.

Second of all - I bought these because I was always changing tires late on, and getting back to summer tires at first signs of spring. Why? Because of inadequate wet/dry handling of winter tires. Now these tires are perfect on wet and dry roads, grip is perfect in all of such conditions, just as the reviews I've read said. Nice.

Unfortunately snow and ice grip is not that good comparing to other winter tires I have owned. Not that they are not predictable - they simply lack the grip that I had with some other brands. I can definetely feel the car, and a hard stop or corner is predictable. TC off in high snow-mud is a must. Still the tire is solid in such conditions.

Wear seems to be on the faster side - a tradeoff for wet/dry conditions. Currently on second season front is around 5,0-5,5mm, rear 6,0-6,5mm. I think that at the end of the winter I'll hit them at 4 and 5,5mm respectively. For the third season I'll change frontrear and finish them off during the spring/summer. The tires I think are good for 30000-40000km in winter and then maybe 10000km as summer finish.

First season they have been definetely better then in the second season. Small skidding has been now observed on wet roads. Still something that is not unexpected, but I guess that with age the tires will have to behave worse. Seems that the compound hardened - my impression.

All in all a great winter tire especially if most of Your winter is on wet/dry roads.

Fantastic tires at a reasonable price . Gripping and longevity are the strongest points for this tire . Also , comfort at its best . Definitely I will buy them again .
