Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

Yokohama A Drive 185-65-14- Ford Laser April 28, 2019
I bought these because they are yokohama and I prioritized grip over all else. What a mistake! Wet weather grip is downright dangerous. My kids will be driving this car in 3 months and I will be changing these tires (with 80% grip on them).

Bridgestone Adrenalin RE002 195-50-15- Ford Laser 40,000 miles December 8, 2014
I have a 2000 Ford Laser - 195/55/R15. I got all 4 put on new rims after having the skinny stock tires. They have lasted for 3years and just over 60K and only just getting to the point that I need to shop for new ones. Only had a wheel alignment when I got them, so it is surprising that they have lasted this long. Always keep tire pressure checked every 2 weeks. I prefer 36psi over the recommended 32psi. It gives me a sharper ride and I don't feel the lag in the corners like I do with the lower pressure. They are amazing in both wet and dry. Sticky as hell in both conditions that I tend to take corners at a quicker speed with 100% confidence in the tires, and they have not let me down once with this.
They are sports tires so they are softer and they are not meant to last as long or give you as good economy or be super quiet with road noise, BUT I am very pleased that with my car they have lasted for so long, my hwy economy is 38-42mpg with aircon on, and road noise is not out of the ordinary (quiet enough to have a conversation. Having said that it depends a lot on your car construction vs tires, my car is going to be noisier than my brothers 2008 Honda Accord Euro that is running the same tires)
I have owned Maxxis, yokis & supercats (never ever, ever again supercat) in the past and this is the first sports tires I've had on any of my cars and it's well worth the money I spent. These RE002s have been the best tires I've owned, the cheapest I've every bought tires for (thank you costco) and the longest lasting I've had by a long mile.
Highly recommended. especially for a FWD medium car

Dunlop Direzza DZ101 205-45-16- Ford Laser 200 miles September 27, 2012
Fantastic.
Better then alot of the others out there that were next to it
Would Prefer to have RE11.
The price and the look of the DZ101 really define it.
Look amazing stretched too.
Grip like crazy too

Toyo 350 225-45-17- Ford Laser KH2 1994 1.8L Manual 1,000 miles July 12, 2012
The first thing I noticed when I got these tires, was how much lighter the steering was.

My previous tires were Diamondbacks, typical $49 bargain bin junk, I drove the car 500KM before putting them on the rear and getting new tires for the front.

The vehicle I drive is a 1994 Ford Laser.

Grip: Dry grip is much better, with the diamondbacks in first gear there was more torque steer, and more likelyhood of getting wheelspin.
With the Toyo's it's definitely more of a challenge to get the wheels to spin.

Progressiveness: I haven't used them long enough to judge, I have experienced understeer, but only in full throttle while cornering situations.

Wet grip: In the wet they are brilliant, after changing from the diamondbacks I was convinced my car was down on power, but it just feels slower due to the better ride and increased grip.

Buy again: I'm not sure if I would, only because I'm yet to try other brands, I like the tire, and I probably would choose it again, but curiosity means I'll try a different brand next time.

Road noise seems very low at 100-110KM/H.

Where this data comes from

Every rating on this page was submitted by a driver through the review form on this site, naming the car, the tire, the size and the distance covered. Reviews are checked by hand before publication, and the page rebuilds automatically as new ones arrive.

About the TR Score

The Tire Reviews Score rates each tire out of 10 using independent test results and the full body of owner reviews, so you can check a car-specific ranking against the wider evidence.

Who does the testing

Every test published as a Tire Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tires independently since 2007.
