After reading various reviews i bought these in preference of Conti Contacts .. also i got a great deal from KwikFit purchasing a slightly wider and lower profile than the standard size for an Almera.
After 200 miles of sedate driving i gave these tires a good test in the highlands of scotland on twisty A roads in pouring rain and on different types of tarmac, these tires really do perform, the grip i can only describe as fantastic in wet weather, they are also excellent in the dry too, road noise is ok, as they are new i have no idea how they wear but at the price compared to other makes they would have to wear really quickly to be uneconomical.
If you are unsure of what tire to purchase just buy these, you can't go wrong !!

Due to the amount of great reviews this tire has got, i waited for them to be in stock (high demand, which strengthend my resolve to get them) and then ordered straight away.
These are really great tires i have to say, and they run well with my Fiesta Zetec-S. I have upgraded mine a bit and i drive it reasonable but at times quite hard... They responded without a whimper... However, i was slightly dissapointed with the handling over uneven surfaces (In the UK the potholes are hurrendous!) and after driving maybe over 40mph went to put the brakes on and found that due to being on an uneven surface my tires lost it and my back end nearly threw out... to my shock!(although hasn't happened again) Also in the wet there was LOADS of aquaplaining (The Tire is only 5 weeks old!!) And worried me slightly. Lastly i hate the amount of rubbish they pick up because of the very deep grooves, very good to have that much apparent grip but they will pick up sticks and stones of the road which then makes it seem like you have a pin in your tire! Very Annoying... Even though i have these gripes These are good tires, but i would recomend a good 2 months of driving normal before you start putting them through there paces!

Rushed out and bought a full set of these after reading all the rave reviews on this website. Have to say I am disappointed - Straight away I noticed the handling wasn't as sharp as the Bridgestone/Dunlop mix previous. If you drive along at 50 - 60mph and gently rock the steering it's a very worrying feeling I can assure you. In bend they are ok being reasonably progressive although you don't have to push that hard before they start squealing and ultimately losing grip. Accelerating and braking is what you would expect - nor deserving merit or criticism.
On the plus side they are good value, quiet, comfortable and judging by the thick thread will last for ages. What with all the good weather of late I haven't been able to put them through their paces in the wet.
In terms of how they look at first I wasn't sure but I'm coming round….
Would I buy them again? Not sure.

Excellet tire, I'd heartily recommend them, and wouldn't buy anything else for general driving. Have jsut come back from a trip to the Nurburgring with them, and was very pleased with the progressiveness and grip on a dry track, and impressed by how little wear they seem to have shown. Generally the wear rate is not terrible, but I go through rears quite quickly due to my driving style and an aggressive LSD (and not tire rotation on staggered tire sizes).
Wet grip is incredible. I often joke that the tires are made with Gypsy magic, because they are THAT good, and confidence inspiring like nothing else I've driven.
Their major flaw - due to the tread pattern these are *abysmal* in snow. Like most summer tires the central V/feather pattern has no horizontal edges for grip, so they are absolutely not recommended! If our snowy winters continue in the UK I'm considering buying some proper winter tires. That said, in any other conditions these are the only tire I'd want on my car!

I have been just using UR2, on an Audi2.0, for three weeks and about 400km, only on dry roads but I can only say that I drove through the roundabout/traffic-circle in 70km/h without any problem and I actualy think that I could do that in 80km/h too, it feels like I could do enything on these tires.
We'll see when it comes some reain I can hardly wait till then.

I'm not going to mess about here: These tires are superb.End of discussion. A tremendous amount of grip in the dry, accompanied with the predictably brilliant wet weather traction. I can't comment on wear, or how they are in the snow, because they have only been fitted for a couple of months. Was torn between getting a set of these or some Falken 452s, which were also very good for the Ford Focus I used to own; very please with my choice, and would not hestitate to buy them again when this lot wear out. Magnificent!

Great tire for the MK3 mx5 - and i know someone with a Mk2.5 who loves them as well.
You feel secure on the twisties of the UK
I liked my original Yoko Advans but prefer these
Problem? finding an outlet that sells them or, more to the point, has them on the shelf.
10k so far with plenty left. Rotation front/back helps.
No good on snow but i expect that

very good tires for the price, being part of continental group. however the side wall feel a little bit weak when being pushed to the limit. main issue which uniroyal address would be with the side wall apart from that it is most defiantly the best tire for this country as the grip in the rain is amazing.

I bought these tires after looking at all the reviews and recommendations for the GOLF GTI, these came up 4th best and found them on ebay for 90 per tire, bargain!
i had to get these after all the amazing reviews in the rain and ...OMG, they are INCREDIBLE,
i couldn't believe it, even driving this car hard in very wet roads and in fast situations you feel in total control, and my traction control rarely flashes up anymore!
i bought the car with box standard cheap tires, and having these fitted have changed the whole driving experience of my car!
these tire are perfect in the UK with all the wet weather! i recommend these tires to anyone! and anyone who has a car with more power then an average car..
they also have a really smart design "v shape" which looks really cool!

I've had these for about 3 months on my Fiesta ST.
Before these, I had Pirelli P Zeros.
The Uniroyals have totally transformed the way the car feels - for the better.
The steering feel is now perfect, it was too light with the Pirellis.
There is so much grip in the wet I can't believe it. I've never experienced tires this good in the wet, in my 25 years of driving!
The Pirellis felt like they were made of stone compared to these. Unless it was a hot summer's day, the Pirellis had very little grip and the steering felt way too light.
Every time I go out in the car, I still can't get over how good these tires are. I wish I'd got them ages ago.

Had factory RE040's on from new then read the reviews about Rainsport 2's. Suddenly I've got traction when pulling away, which was probably the Bridgestones biggest letdown. They are just fantastic in the wet and surprisingly good in the dry. Handling is excellent and my only, minor, grouse is that they are very slightly noisier than the RE040's. Would certainly buy Rainsport 2's again and recommend these to anyone who likes to drive quickl, and safely.

I have just replaced a set of these.
45000 miles mostly on motorway on a Jaguar X Type I cannot fault them.
I am told you can expect about 20000 on these cars with Pirelli.
There was no noticable difference from new to worn out.
Extremely high grip in all weathers, brilliant in rain and snow on the M6!!
I have just put some Uniroyal Rain Experts on, sort of by mistake but based on the Rainsport 2 I think I will be very happy with them.
