Given 86% while driving a Ford Mondeo (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 15,000 spirited miles
Bought these to replace the avon zz3s that i fitted on my car, Mondeo ST TDCI. The wet and dry weather grip was better than the avons. The rim protector isn't as big as the one on the avons. they do seam to be lasting quite well, having done about 14000 miles and they are worn down to 3.5mm.

Given 97% while driving a BMW e36 (245/40 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 700 spirited miles
Wow what a tire !! These are just great. After changing my Michelin pilot sport 2's on the rear of my 325 bmw after only 5000 very disapointing miles these Uniroyals are the best thing since sliced bread.
As soon as I had the rain sport2's fitted the car felt totally different. There was grip tons of it, the rear of the car no longer skipped and let go over ruts in the road when going round a corner on the rear, these babies have almost 9mm of tread when new !!
The car also felt more comfortable and a definate reduction in road noise was instant the moment I rolled out of the tire fitting centre.
The dry grip is just fantastic and although I have yet to try these on really wet roads even though I have done over 700 miles so far, when the roads have had that wet glossy look ( which I sometimes feel can be more of a hazard) I have had full confidence that the grip is still all there. If you are wondering what the tread patten is like then these have a deep v type pattern simillar to the Goodyear.
Cannot comment on wear as yet but hoping to get much more than the Michelin and these only cost me just a fraction over 100.00 a corner where as the Michelins were another 60.00 at least.
Cannot hardly wait for the fronts to ware out so I can get a matching set !!!
If you are looking for a great all round tire at a very reasonable cost price then these are a must. You might have to ring round a few tire places to get hold of these but well worth it !!

Given 99% while driving a Volkswagen Golf Mk3 1.8 (205/45 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 1,500 spirited miles
Being a kean driver I invested in a full suspension kit for my Dragon Green Golf Mk3 to sit closer to the road and improve my cornering abilities, With the Dub lowered 60 mm front and 40mm rear it looked the buisness.

I had purchased the Car in 2007 August and it had a new set of budget tires already fitted Wahnli branded to Pass it's MOT.

The Car was fine for feedback and feel but the tires seem to run out of grip before the suspension did, leaning to quickly onto the sidewall and following B road potholes horribly, the first 8000 miles were not too bad. The wet weather performance I thought at the time was reasonable.

Looking for a Change, I discussed various tires with my local Tire dealer , with abundance of tire knowledge and feedback from their customers, Alpha Tires in Fenton, Stoke adviced me towards the Uniroyals.

So the Uniroyal Rainsport 2 was choosen after much contemplation between the Toyo T1R Proxies and The Goodyear Eagle F1's .

1500 miles in , the handling has transformed, Wet weather grip is amazing , you really have to drive it in the rain to realise how good these are in the wet.

General feel changed, noticable reduction in understeer dramatically changed the perception of how much spped you are actually carrying into corners, as it has a much stronger sidewall. The dry grip is brilliant.

I'm just enjoying these tires , in whatever weather. A little warm up of the tire gets these babies more sticky and braking has improved aswell, again wet or dry you feel on the road, not waiting to drop off.

Given 93% while driving a Renault Clio 1.8 16v (205/45 R16 W) on mostly country roads for 0 spirited miles
Excellent tire, makes you feel very very comfortable, especially in the wet. As soon as I had these tires mounted on to my car, I immediately felt the difference. The turn-in is absolutely electric!! Very fast response from the tires. This is a must have for every sportscar. It gives you maximum traction in both wet and dry conditions for a very competitive price.

Given 99% while driving a Renault Clio 172 (195/45 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 15,000 average miles
I have had several makes of tire on the Clio cup before i bought the Rainsport 2, none came even close to the grip of the uniroyals in the wet or the dry plus i ran the fronts for nearly 15,000 miles, thats 4000 more than any other make. the rears covered almost 28,000 miles. Incredible tire. I now have them on 2 of my other cars, including a Skoda Superb Taxi which ran 12,000 at the front, thats 1500 more than the standard tires. I wish they did them for motorbikes.
