Across 28 summer tests, the Bridgestone Turanza T001 delivers mid-pack overall performance with standout wet safety in select evaluations but inconsistent results elsewhere. It peaks with class-leading wet braking and aquaplaning in 2018 (3rd overall, 1st wet braking, 1st straight aquaplaning) and posts several top-6 overall finishes (2015-2013), yet is frequently relegated to lower-mid positions, especially in SUV and some premium touring comparisons. Rolling resistance and wear occasionally undermine its ranking, and wet performance varies notably by size and test context.

Again, the worlds biggest tire maker ends a test with a disappointing result. The T001 had the worst wet grip on test, finishing last in wet handling, braking and cornering, and felt subjectively weak too. An update is due for this tire soon, and it's well needed.

Bridgestones reputation has been somewhat saved by Dunlop, as the Bridgestone T001 proved to be average in nearly all areas. Slow in the dry and wet, the only good result was in the aquaplaning test. Despite being loud and uncomfortable, the Bridgestone also failed early in the impact test. Not good value for money.

Bridgestone are due to update the T001 soon, and it's showing. While it managed a respectable fourth in the rolling resistance tests, the tire ended up last in both dry and wet braking. Joint third during the dry handling test, and some of the best aquaplaning scores in the group left the Bridgestone mid pack

A year ago, tires Bridgestone Potenza S001 showed good results in the comparative test tires UHP class . But more mass model Turanza T001, the hopes of a good result were dashed. Major problems - on the asphalt. Even on the long circle, where with other tires the car comes to an easy slide on the front wheels, on Bridgestone tires it breaks into a skid, which we have to adjust the wheel! Not impressed and behavior in the dry either. The tires irritate with increased noise on rough pavement and excessive rigidity on uneven surfaces. The latter can be explained by high-capacity (XL), the carcass of tires Bridgestone Turanza T001 dual layer, while major competitors have a single-layer frame structure. Hopefully, the second layer will provide increased strength when hit in potholes or driving over obstacles.

Bridgestone became the main disappointment of this test. These tires are not enough good in wet conditions for the product of such a major manufacturer, and the situation on dry pavement isn't much better. Bridgestone is slow to respond to steering and can dramatically lose traction, causing the vehicle control requires more attention. The advantages - excellent resistance to aquaplaning and low noise.
