Wins count every measurement the shared tests recorded for both tires; a tick marks the tire ahead on that line. Subjective driver scores count as wins but are never averaged, because each test uses its own scale.

Each row is one published test in which both tires ran on the same car, in the same size, on the same day. The line is the whole field, winner on the left.

Point at or tap any spoke for both tires' figures.

In each test the better of the two figures counts as 100% and the other as its share of it, so a 118 ft stop against 112 ft is 95%; each spoke averages the shared tests that recorded it. The scale stops at 92%: a point further in sits on the hub's edge, hollow. 10 measurements recorded in only one shared test are left off; every measurement is in the table further down.

Braking distances and lap times are better when lower; speeds, wear and grip figures when higher. A test's figures are its own: sizes, cars, surfaces and temperatures differ from one to the next, which is why the averages here are only ever of tests the two tires shared. "Scored" rows are subjective driver ratings: each test uses its own scale, so only the wins are counted.

Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6

  • 79%from 44 reviews
  • 76%would buy again
  • 393,509 milesdriven by reviewers

Owners broadly rate the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 as a very safe, summer-leaning all-season tire, with a clear consensus around strong wet grip (mentioned by over half of reviewers) and similarly impressive dry grip. Snow traction is generally described as capable for occasional winter use, and around a third of owners also report encouraging tread life. The main drawbacks are feel and efficiency: around one in four owners complain of numb steering feedback and a similar share report higher rolling resistance/fuel consumption, while road noise is divisive with near-even praise and criticism.

  • Very strong wet grip and confidence in heavy rain
  • High dry grip that feels close to a summer tire
  • Capable snow traction for light to moderate winter conditions
  • Good tread life for year-round use
  • Numb steering feel and limited feedback near the limit
  • Higher rolling resistance and a noticeable fuel economy hit for some
  • Road noise can be intrusive on certain surfaces, despite others finding it quiet

Now nearly 2 years and 20k miles in. These tires are still as good as they were new and tread has only dropped to 5-6mm all round, suggesting >40,000 miles a set which is more than the OE Pirelli P7 summer tires managed. Have experienced winter slush and light snow without any grip issues, when the car felt stable and safe, but as I live on the south coast with regular trips to family in Yorkshire, they don’t need to be a dedicated winter tire. Economy unchanged around 45mpg overall, 50mpg on a motorway run. For my use, these have been very impressive and I would be happy to replace them with another set, although there may be even better choices in 3 years when these should be just about done.

Vredestein Quatrac Pro+

  • 81%from 15 reviews
  • 79%would buy again
  • 98,850 milesdriven by reviewers

Owners are broadly pleased with the Vredestein Quatrac Pro Plus, with 12 of 14 reviews scoring it positively and an average owner rating of 80.9%. The most consistent strengths are strong wet grip and reassuring all-round traction, with many also highlighting confident dry grip and capable performance in snow. A meaningful minority (around one in five) report a softer, less precise steering feel and a tire that needs a longer bedding-in period, and a similar share raise concerns over tread life or durability.

  • Excellent wet grip, even in cold and wet conditions
  • Strong dry grip with confidence for spirited driving
  • Surprisingly capable snow traction
  • Predictable dry handling
  • Softer, less precise steering feel/feedback
  • Noticeable bedding-in period before it feels at its best
  • Reduced margin at the limit or a slight delay finding grip under load

"I purchased these all-season premium tires for my 4WD Subaru Outback, and I am extremely satisfied with them. As soon as they were installed, the car felt remarkably smooth and pleasant to drive.
The tires are wearing perfectly evenly, and I’ve already rotated them once. I used to be hesitant about all-season tires, but this brand completely convinced me that I made the right choice. While tire selection always depends on the specific car, driving style, and usage, these have worked out incredibly well for my Outback. Highly recommended!

Reading the results

Written from the test results and owner reviews above. It is analysis, not a measurement: where it and the tables disagree, the tables are right.

Bridgestone's Turanza All Season 6 and Vredestein's Quatrac Pro Plus target year-round convenience for passenger cars, but they take different routes to get there. Across eight shared tests spanning compact performance sizes to SUV fitments, the Bridgestone consistently ranks near the top, while the Vredestein positions itself as a wet-biased mid-range alternative.

The headline pattern is clear: Bridgestone dominates objective safety metrics-especially dry and snow braking plus aquaplaning resistance-while Vredestein often feels nicer from behind the wheel in the wet and runs quieter. If you value short stopping distances and all-weather security, the Bridgestone sets the benchmark; if comfort and wet steering feel matter more than ultimate margins, the Vredestein makes a case.

Conclusion

Across eight comparisons, the Turanza All Season 6 outperforms the Quatrac Pro Plus in core safety categories: 8/8 wins in dry braking, 7/8 in wet braking, clean sweeps in straight and curved aquaplaning, and broad advantages on snow (braking, traction, handling). That explains its higher average placings (including test wins and multiple top-three finishes) and why testers repeatedly label it the stronger all-rounder.

Vredestein's appeal lies in subjective wet balance and refinement: frequent wins in wet handling laps, lower cabin noise in most tests, and competitive pricing/value in select sizes. However, its longer dry stops and average winter metrics are meaningful trade-offs. For most drivers-especially those facing heavy rain or occasional snow-the Bridgestone is the safer, more rounded choice. If your priorities are quietness, a supple ride, and engaging wet feel in milder climates, the Vredestein is a reasonable, budget-friendly alternative.

Where this data comes from

Finishing positions and measurements are transcribed from each published test. A test only counts here when both tires ran in it, so every figure was recorded on the same car, size and day as the one it is compared to.
