Overall... an average result... they replaced some truly awful dried out old low-grip tires that wouldn't wear out, that were on the car when I bought it. I would buy these Chinese-manufactured Goodyears again if I could get them for the $179 each I paid in Oct 2020... got 28,335kms out of them, the other two are still on there, my mum's little Toyota Ist hatchback, (JDM, but like an Echo, Yaris, Scion XA ... ) one tire got a screw in it and mum drove on the sidewall a tiny bit in a carpark and that was it. So I replaced the axle pair with some even cheaper Chinese tires "HiFly HF201" we'll see how that goes in a few years when they pop...

Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

What Toyota IST drivers say
The most recent owner reviews from this car, in their own words.
It's been about 2 weeks since I put these on my IST and I love them! These tires are very comfortable, quiet and they grip very well :) The price was also very reasonable in comparison to other brands I checked out and they feel better than the more expensive Bridgestones they replaced. I have a feeling they are also going to last for many kilometers. Overall great tires at a fantastic price, reccommended 100%

Every rating on this page was submitted by a driver through the review form on this site, naming the car, the tire, the size and the distance covered. Reviews are checked by hand before publication, and the page rebuilds automatically as new ones arrive.
About the TR Score
The Tire Reviews Score rates each tire out of 10 using independent test results and the full body of owner reviews, so you can check a car-specific ranking against the wider evidence.
Who does the testing
Every test published as a Tire Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tires independently since 2007.
