Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Wagon Tire Review Highlights
had them on my Subaru legacy when the importer replaced them before i got the car. I had doubts as usually dealers only put on cheaper tires, so i planned to change into better ones after they wear out. To my surprise, after a year now, I actually like them. They are good and handle well. Did a few road trips, and not a problem! I am purchasing another set for the civic turbo for my wife.

These are one of the best Max Performance/ UHP tires for dry grip and handling. Really enjoyed high speed corners and tossing the car around on quiet roads. You can be confident driving aggressively and have strong braking with this. Compares well against the PS4 in dry handling. However, I have overpowered the rears on a wet road when I wasn't expecting to and aquaplaning resistance is not the very best either. The PS4 is slightly better in this aspect. Comfort and noise levels were acceptable. I changed these out with lots of life left when going up in size, but the wear looks to be about average.

Main differentiator to the other tires in its class is the ride quality and stable feel at high speed especially around steering center, the comfort and acceptable road noise level. Other strengths are dry grip, braking, steering response, although not the best in class. This is a very nice tire for spirited driving in covering long distances on major roads, or for using low profile sizes. Aquaplaning performance is its biggest weakness for me. Wet handling does not inspire confidence, maybe due to the aquaplaning performance. Wears out rather quickly!

Managed to get a good deal on them and that was the best part. Review comments are based on my expectations for a UHP tire. Lateral grip and braking performance fell short of my expectations, hence this would not be a tire to recommend for any Track activity. It is resistant to aquaplaning though and was always confident driving through standing water. Steering response was good, it made the car feel more nimble. At high speed in a straight line (155) it was acceptably stable. NVH levels were low, good. I changed out before reaching the wear indicators.
