I have used Maxxis tires on my 4 ltr toyota soarer for 10 of the 11 years I have owned it and for a "budget" tire it is better than most and certainly better than celera tires sold by bathwick tires which I had changed to maxxis after only 600 miles, they were lethal in the wet, it probably depends on the car/tire combination as to how tires react to conditions but sure as hell maxxis pro r1 suit mine.

Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

What Toyota Soarer 4 ltr drivers say
The most recent owner reviews from this car, in their own words.
I would say that the acelera tire's used on the rear of a 4ltr toyota soarer were possibly the worst I have ever had fitted ok in the dry but lethal in the wet.
I have just changed them for a budget tire I trust both in the dry and the wet and that is a Maxxis.
Never fit to any performance car.
