Previously, I had mitchelin ps4 frt and rear (good all round tire ) tho suffered bad with aquaplaning with 4mm treat on the frt tires even at 50mph ,chamged the fit tires to Bridgestone potenza sport ; have to say the Bridgestone tires are worst tires I have ever fitted to a car, I was not to bothered about the high wear rate if they performed well ; but the Bridgestone were dreadful when the weather was cold wet or dry constant skipping on acceleration from Standstill or from say 30mph plus on tight corners they roll so bad brushing the side wall even if I increasing tire pressures and only lasted 8k miles Only one good thing they was better at aquaplaning then the ps4s and the only time they gripped ok wet or dry if the day temp was above 14 dregs

As I needed four tires now, not just the front tires looking at all the reviews… thought I try Toyo ps3 or falken fk320 both lower price then premium brands (but are they as good.?)

Wow fitted the Toyos str8 away my car felt so much better these the Toyo tires are better tire in every way. These tires just give so much confidence. The first biggest thing I noticed is the steering response, so much more direct and positive now if i floor it from stand still in the wet . They will spin a little like any fry wheel drive car . But they just start digging in: as with the Bridgestone they just give up .and Just skip and spin more , the toyos work well even when the tires are cold on a cold day still do v well wet and dry
Lots of grip cornering and hard braking
Aquaplaning seem good so far tho only done 2500 miles of wear on the Toyos
If you want to sharpen yours steering response and help with understeer these tires are the amazing
Road noise seems ok about the same as a ps4 s
No tire roll at all on tight corners
Toyo have designed a great tire for the price “the new proxes sport 2”
Seem robust and great value
Tire wear so far so good , covered 2500 miles ,no sights of heavy wear
Would fit these tires again for sure
Was a bit of a gamble as the Toyos had only 3 reviews being a new tire

Back again to update these tires last review I had covered 2k miles , just had them replaced after only lasting 8k yes just 8k (road use only)
These tires are not worth the money at all , not just because of the fast wear rate, there useless in the cold, they skip, even in the dry from stand still, they don’t improve they just get worst, road noise increases with wear, the turn in is not great , (my car is a standard Jcw not modified) it’s the first and last time I fit Bridgestone tires , the ps4 I had on when I purchased the car never skipped like the Bridgestones do , wet or dry roads ,
Been very undecided on what fit next, tho with only 2 reviews on the new Toyo proxes 2. Had the toyos fitted Only covered 500 mile and wow what a difference, there are great so far , very impressed, I will do a full review on toyos after covering 2k (under the Toyo proxes 2 )

Writing about the Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08RS given 60% (205-45-17-)
Driving on track for 4000 spirited miles
It is totally different from the old AD08R, which I still run on the S2k and luckily still have a spare set. I purchased these RS for the Mini JCW for trackdays and Ring, and sad to say I even found the stock Pirelli PZero performing better. These RS are not able to get descent grip, squeel like crazy, and provoce massive understeer, unless you get some real temp in there. But still than they lack that 'bite' and direct response you got from the old tire. Trying to play with tire pressures, but I just cannot get it as I would 've expected I've been loyal to the AD08 series for years, but will be stepping to PSS or Cup2s for future purchases. Sad what you did here to a used-to-be-brilliant tire, Yoko
