Best Tires for the Alfa Romeo Brera

I bought this tires because of the reviews I read comparing to the price. The previous were Continental Contact 5 which costed double price at the time.
Exceptional handling in dry and almost the same in wet. It will not wear visibly but I think it starts to show its age in 4 maybe 5 years!

Well, coming from the T005 and Pzero PZ4 (the extended shoulder variant) I was expecting a major step up in everything but I got it somewhere.

The tire is good, very good, very predictable, it grips from cold either in the wet or dry. Ofc when dealing with such low profile tires steering response is to be expected nonetheless.

Comparing it to the T005 is is a much more a UHP like tire, it strays away from touring, not that I don't like that, but where it majorly lacks is in comfort, its sidewall is much much much stiffer than the T005 so it gives less comfort and most importantly less protection (give) for the suspension components. In Greece roads are utter trash, alas you want a tire to be as comfortable as it can be and protect your suspension. The T005 did that excellently, the T6 does not do that so well.

It's much more comfortable in comparison to the PZ4 and also it can work from cold while the PZ4s are like driving on ice when cold and wet. But road feel and harshness is much closer to them rather than the T005.

For me its always a matter of getting the softest tire. But I've yet to see a comparison between the Premium Contact 7 and the T6 in terms of comfort.

Where that tire shines is in fuel efficiency. -0.5L/100km at 34-30 psi compared to PZ4s at 39-35psi.

Had these for approx 14K miles having done one swap front-rear to ensure balanced wear. I drive usually on motorways and having done a big trip across Europe (from the UK to Greece and back), i really love them. This is the 3rd set of 4 tires since i got the car and the best so far. On dry tarmac they stick like a train and on wet surfaces after having some hard breaking, they perform well and confidently. I have never had any issues regarding my confidence on them. So in summary i would say that: + Dry, wet handling and braking, no problem with aquaplaning. Good treadware (over 300). Their performance is consistent since new. - The steering feel lacks a bit of character, but nothing significant, just my thought. Due to the inner side being worn (i have it lowered by 30mm), hence the camber angle creates a faster wear out on the inner side, i have to replace them. I would certainly buy again, but i am going for All season tires due to my move to Germany in winter.

These tires are good on dry ground no problem even if there is better but the real problem is on wet ground so there is no one left! Dangerous I often slipped under braking and lost control, it's a bit scary! And when accelerating, it's the same, the wheel slips on the first 3 gears. Unless you drive quietly they may not scare you, but in fast situations or emergency braking they are catastrophic. I will not repurchase this model.

These (front) tires had been worn extensively over a period of just one summer season during which I drove around 8000 km (5000 miles) or even less since I haven't had them on for that whole period. This includes mostly driving in town. They're not worn totally, but to the point that I was suggested to buy another set of front tires for next season. They also told me that I should have rotated them around 10000 km, and were surprised to know that they haven't even reached that. Rear ones are in good shape. Performance is good, but it seems that wear is ridiculous. I do have a heavy foot but nothing too egregious. I need to point out that the car didn't have any mechanical issues and the wear was even on those front tires on my Alfa Romeo Brera 2.2 jts.

With mainly gridlock city driving front tires are badly worn after only one summer season and around 8000 km tops (probably less than that but I wasn't paying much attention). I do have a heavy foot, but nothing too egregious. No mechanical issues with the car.

Excellent on dry and very good on wet. Also very quiet and good tire wear. I did 25 000 km during 2 summers and still plenty of grip

Tires are bought for my Alfa Brera 2.0 JTDm.
Positives: Very grippy on both dry and wet.I can't complain on the road feedback, but the steering feel is lost a bit comparing to Pirellis, not that sharp as i would like.Great confidence on wet, the car feels solid.

Negatives: From new they generate a noise which i can't explain. Maybe this set was problematic. They were manufactured on May 2018 and i put them on in June 2018 so very fresh.However, it seems that especially on bad tarmac, the noise they produce puts me off, it sounds like a wheel bearing is on its way (which is not).

Will buy again? Maybe, but the tire noise and not helpful customer service are very important factors for me and i got no satisfaction. Other than this, i believe the tire adds more confidence on any weather conditions or drive style
