Personally I'm impressed by the TR-1's, grip is probably way more than my car needs so it can be pushed to the limit quite easily. Better braking, cornering and off-the-line acceleration all round. No major drop off in the wet either, still performs well.
Snow and ice, forget it! This is 100% a summer tire so if you plan to use all year round, nothing heroic for those four months is my advice...
I found having just the two (rotated to front and rear) with another brand was sketchy at best(grip balance issue), so I opted for four in the end and no regrets after that; made sense since these tires are seriously good value too.

Great tires much better than the pirelli p6000's that they replaced. Good grip in the wet, brilliant in the dry. Road feedback is also good car feels a lot more smoother when compared to the pirelli's i can't remember them being this smooth when they were new. Very comfortable and too loud on the motorway. Will buy again once they need replacing.

Very good tires in the dry but as soon as the roads get abit damp they spin up all the time
I would buy for the summer but stay away if you live in a wet place the tires lasted me 4months because of the way I drive I now have yoke s-drive and in the wet they beat toyo t1r's
Hands down but in the wet

For the money you can't go wrong very good grip in the dry and good grip in the wet, after all these are summer tires. Road feedback is excellent and the tires are comfortable and not too noisy. I've only had these on for 5k so wear is still good and most of my driving is done on mix of A roads and motorways. They do Seem to suit my type of car as i've heard very good things about them on car forums, and i will definitely buy these again.

Good one... but not good enough in aquaplaning... and also just medium grip when wet. But still on 275/30/19 on ukrainian roads I felt myself very comfortable...

Dry Grip - These tires are absolutely fantastic in the dry. You can really chuck it into corners and it will stick.
Wet Grip - The tires perform very well in the wet, however as with any tire, if you push it too much you will eventually slip. If driven sensibly for the road conditions you shouldn't experience any problems
Road Feedback - These tires are of a very soft compound therefore road feeback is excellent and really gives you the confidence to push the car to its limits.
Wear - The downside to haveing very soft compound tires is that they do wear at quite a fast rate. After about 7500 miles i started feeling a small difference in the grip i was having.
Comfort - These are very comfortable and provide little road noise, so ideal for long journeys
Buy Again - I certainly would. I managed to pick these up at a great price and and the large list of Pro's certainly outweight the minor Con's (mainly being the rate of wear).

can`t believe some of the comments on these tires, maybe they don`t suit some car models, but, for my nissan hatchback they totaly transformed the handling. understeer is a distant memory, grip in the wet or dry is confidance inspiring and bear in mind I`m a pretty aggressive driver- at the road, not other drivers. these tires when I reach a canny pace, help me maintain that pace around corners, I can`t take these tires to their max`, these tires take me to my max! I`ve twice in the 5 years I`ve used these tires, had cars behind me skidding on bends trying to keep up and I aint no david coultard! don`t buy these if you want good/high mileage. but, if you need grip, you won`t be dissappointed!

Did 24k on these tires on the rear of my Merc SLK, good quality tire, they also look good, protect your rims, but more importantly did the job required on a car renowned for wearing rear tire out at about 15k.

I've only had these on an MGF, and they are pretty picky what tires you have on. Everything about this tire shouts performance. Great grip in the dry, you always feel in control when pushing hard. Makes you feel confident in the wet. Great feedback. For the price (or even twice the price) nothing else can touch them. They do tend to wear fairly quickly but you can't have everything.

changed to these from michelins which were great in the dry with great wear but lethal in the wet and light snow! so far am very impressed with them, car feels much more stable in the wet and noise is ok
