Low price.
Extremely long wet braking, slowest wet handling with difficult balance, slowest in dry handling, average offroad performance, noisy, highest rolling resistance on test.
The Nitto Terra Grappler G2 might not be the most expensive tire of the group, but we expected more from the Nitto brand. Sadly, the Terra Grappler was out classed on nearly every surface, and most worryingly had extremely long wet braking, stopping the F150 over 16 meters longer than the best of the group - when the best tire in the test had you stopped safely, you'll still be traveling 27 mph on the Nitto from just 50 mph.

These have been great on my wife's 2018 4runner. We bought them in 2020 and they are still going strong here in 2026. I was expecting about 55-65k miles out of them but we are over 65k now and they still have all the siping and good tread depth. The tire or getting "old" not worn out.
I will be looking for something better in the rain and ice. These are too slippery, 4 wheel drive is a must on anything like ice or fresh rain.
I will be looking at the G3s because they say they are much better in the wet and ice but I am not convinced yet.

These tires have been a problem since the beginning. They have never balanced well. The tire machine will say OK for balance, but the ride quality is terrible. The steering wheel will shake around 60 mph and stop around 70 mph. I would NOT buy these again and don't recommend them to anyone.
