This is the best Tire i have ever used on this car without doubt. I was unaware that a tire could make this much difference and i have used expensive rubber previously. I hope they will last longer than my last set of fronts which only lasted 9000 miles. These are real Value for money and will transform your vehicle.

I bought these tires after reading good reviews on this site, and to be honest I don't do reviews but wanted to due to buying them on others recommendation so thought I should do the same.
Had the tires for approx 7,000 miles, so far so good, the grip is fantastic as I drive to work on lots of country roads about 28 miles each way and the comfort, grip and low noise is really good. I would recommend these tires to anyone and will definetly be having them again, I know some will say there are better tires out there and yes there is but at a higher price. These tires are well worth the money.

Falken 452's are an entry level wet sport tire with unbeatable value for money. I've used them on a number of vehicles (currently on my Volvo 850 T5 225bhp) they offer satisfactory grip in dry conditions and very good wet weather grip. They provide good road feedback at lower speeds and satisfactory road communictation at high speed. However, at very high speed they tend to feel a little vauge, thus affecting the confidence in the tire more than anything else. Wear is average but forgiven considering the price. They certainly are comfy enough and road noise is average to good. Cornering potential is also good but far from what you could expect from say a P-Zero or an Eagle F1.
When buying any tire it's always important to remember what you require from it. If you're after a tire for combined road use that feels sporty and offers good grip then the Falken 452 is your tire without question (perfect for cars under 150bhp). If you're running considerably more than 200bhp and plan on using that power then I wouldn't reccomend the 452. It simply is not designed for a combination of massive power and hard driving.
Used in the right context these tires are exceptional value for money and I highly reccomend them.

Recently changed my Potenza R050A tires after 37000 kilometers. They came standard on my 08 Mondeo, and although are performance tires, I found they had considerable wheel spin in both wet and dry situations. The FK452s are much better in wet conditions, and I really notice that I have no deviation in hard acceleration, unlike the Potenza which ofter torqued the entire car to the right. The tire seems to appreciate the torque of the 2 liter diesel 140, better than the Potenza. My first set and am so far satisfied.

A very good tire for the money, about half the cost of michelin. A hardish ride but that is because of the aspect ratio of 45%, the only downside is the high wear rate but you corner rather fast and get the grip you get the wear, my approx mileage is about 12 to 14k per pair which sounds low but I only get about 16 to 18k for michelin. I am on my second pair but soon need another pair.

Read and read about tires - concerned about replacing michelin pilot premacys with a cheaper brand. I am so pleased I chose this tire. Car feels so much better than before - I think the Falkens suit the high psi on my front axle (40psi)very well, they are comfortable and there is at least 30% more grip in the wet than the Micelins - tire looks good with aggressive centre section pattern. Would highly recommend.

12 months ago I bought a pair of these for my E39 to replace Michelin Pilots. This week I went to replace the outgoing Michelins and moved the rear year old 452's to the front. I was shocked to find that I only had about 2mm left in the centres after 17000miles. Would have liked to got another 5000miles from these but I suppose you only get what you pay for.

Find the Falkens the best value and performance for money tire. Once warmed up, provides great grip in dry weather, due to being directional, will wheelspin when floored, but stay in line, not wandering like Pirelli, Goodyear or marshall tires. Have been using Falken on a variety of vehicles, always came out tops. Despite hard driving, get on average about 20k out of a set. Great believer in good performance tires, will rather pay more than end up in a ditch.

Possibly the best "budget" tire money can buy. Dry grip is excellent, wet grip nothing short of sensational but lacking progressiveness at the limit in the wet. Sidewalls are awfully soft resulting in poor feedback and turn in but you quickly get used to that. Considering the punishment I have given these, wear is good too. All round good tire.

For some reason this tire is regularly placed in the same category as the Hankook Ventus K104 and Nangkang NS2, but having moved to the Falken from both of these tires on the same car, they are a world appart. Falken are far superior.

My Mondeo had Continetal Sport Contact 2's as original equipment. I did not like them and soon set about choosing an different tire when it came to replace them. First to be changed were the fronts for AVON ZZ3's which were definitely better. Then when all four required replacement, after reading the reviews on this forum, I decided on the FK452's.
My first impressions were that I had made a disastrous mistake. The car was all over the place, grip was hopeless, road noise was appalling and the ride quality choppy. Fortunately I referred back to this website and noticed that these tires take sometime to run in. So I persevered and it was worth it. I would estimate that it was a good 300 miles/500kms before the tires bedded in sufficiently. Now I am very happy with them. I do a lot of autoroute kms so I appreciate the directional stability of this tire. Wet road grip and resistance to aquaplaning at high speeds is also excellent. As the tires have aged road noise suppression is also excellent and the ride quality is very good. I have experimented with different tire pressures especially when the tires were new, but find Fords 2.5 bar fr/ 2.3 rear to be the best combination.
The front tires have now reached the point where the Contis and AVONs were worn out: 23,000kms, but the Falkens are down to 4mm. The only complaint I have about this tire is the very poor rim protection. In fact the tires look a size narrower on the rim than the AVON ZZ3. That aside, I will be ordering another two from the online supplier.
