285/60 R18 Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV rated 84%
while driving a Land Rover Freelander 2
Replacing Pirelli Scorpions, the Michelins are a definite step up. In the dry the steering is far more precise, grip levels high and behavior at the limit clean and benign. Stopping distances are commendably short with excellent stability. If anything they are even more impressive in the wet with exceptionally strong lateral grip and progressive behavior at the limit. They are very resistant to
aquaplaning on flooded motorways. Road noise and rolling comfort are good but not exceptional. As I use extreme winter tires
for half the year I have no idea how they would fare in snow or ice although they show commendably good behavior in low
temperatures unlike some summer tires. So far they are wearing well. For on road use in above freezing conditions I strongly
recommend these tires as being worth the high price and would happily buy again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 65000 average miles
Great grip on road and on sand when deflating it exceeds my expectations by miles, the treads have been holding pattern nicely for the past 65,000miles 110,000km on and Offroad on my 2017 grand Cherokee 4X4, used it on rock, sand, liver crossing with sharp rocks and handles exceptionally well on sharp turns. I would be a bit skeptical regarding what roads does it job nicely, but it does tend to plane on wet roads so better slow down

I will buy these again. Strong side wall. Climb some rock steps with no damage at 18 psi. Quiet on highways at 100km/h. They balanced well and smooth driving. Looks like a high mileage tire so far. Still like new at 9000kms.

while driving a Toyota Landcruiser
Driving on a combination of roads for 12000 miles
Travelled approx 20000 klm. At 10000klm it was unnecessary to rotate tires as there was no noticeable wear. Unfortunately I destroyed a near side rear on the Birdsville developmental Road which was extremely rocky. Have since completed birdsville track with no problems.

while driving a Land Rover Range Rover P38
Driving on mostly motorways for 3000 average miles
Good combination of offroady tire and on road behavior. Quiet on high speeds, bit less comfort but good feedback from the strong sidewalls.
Good dry grip from the relative soft rubber, expect good snow handling.
Have about 5000km on the tires and no visable wear yet.
I have not yet driven these in the wet and snow, wil update.
