Data updated

Which should you buy?

Choose the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 if you want a true year-round all-season with strong wet safety (especially aquaplaning), dependable snow performance, and better long-term running costs. Consider the Linglong Sport Master 4S only if budget is the overriding priority, you drive mostly in mild climates with little/no snow, and you're willing to trade wet-planing and winter safety margins for a low purchase price and lively dry-road feel.

Where the Turanza All Season 6 is stronger

  • Consistently better wet safety margins, especially aquaplaning (wins straight aquaplaning 7/7; big gap of 79.7 vs 71.5 km/h in Auto Express)
  • Stronger winter ability across tests (wins snow traction and snow handling 7/7; often sizeable snow-braking advantage, e.g., 24.6 m vs 28.0 m)
  • More efficient and lower running-cost profile in key tests (e.g., Auto Zeitung: 7.7 vs 9.7 kg/t rolling resistance; predicted wear 50,250 vs 32,000 km)

Where the Sport Master 4S is stronger

  • Often very competitive dry-road pace for the money; repeatedly noted as fastest/near-fastest in dry handling in some tests
  • Can be quiet and/or comfortable in several comparisons (wins noise more often overall; strong comfort in AutoBild Sports Car test)
  • Low purchase price that can make total cost attractive for low-mileage users despite shorter predicted life

Wins count every measurement the shared tests recorded for both tires; a tick marks the tire ahead on that line. Subjective driver scores count as wins but are never averaged, because each test uses its own scale.

Each row is one published test in which both tires ran on the same car, in the same size, on the same day. The line is the whole field, winner on the left.

Point at or tap any spoke for both tires' figures.

In each test the better of the two figures counts as 100% and the other as its share of it, so a 118 ft stop against 112 ft is 95%; each spoke averages the shared tests that recorded it. The scale stops at 92%: a point further in sits on the hub's edge, hollow. 3 measurements recorded in only one shared test are left off; every measurement is in the table further down.

Every measurement, side by side

Averages of the figures both tires posted in the same tests. The gap is the average of each test's own gap, so figures from different cars and years are never mixed. Open a discipline for its measurements, and a measurement for every test's figure.

Braking distances and lap times are better when lower; speeds, wear and grip figures when higher. A test's figures are its own: sizes, cars, surfaces and temperatures differ from one to the next, which is why the averages here are only ever of tests the two tires shared. "Scored" rows are subjective driver ratings: each test uses its own scale, so only the wins are counted.

Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6

  • 79%from 44 reviews
  • 76%would buy again
  • 393,509 milesdriven by reviewers

Owners broadly rate the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 as a very safe, summer-leaning all-season tire, with a clear consensus around strong wet grip (mentioned by over half of reviewers) and similarly impressive dry grip. Snow traction is generally described as capable for occasional winter use, and around a third of owners also report encouraging tread life. The main drawbacks are feel and efficiency: around one in four owners complain of numb steering feedback and a similar share report higher rolling resistance/fuel consumption, while road noise is divisive with near-even praise and criticism.

  • Very strong wet grip and confidence in heavy rain
  • High dry grip that feels close to a summer tire
  • Capable snow traction for light to moderate winter conditions
  • Good tread life for year-round use
  • Numb steering feel and limited feedback near the limit
  • Higher rolling resistance and a noticeable fuel economy hit for some
  • Road noise can be intrusive on certain surfaces, despite others finding it quiet

Now nearly 2 years and 20k miles in. These tires are still as good as they were new and tread has only dropped to 5-6mm all round, suggesting >40,000 miles a set which is more than the OE Pirelli P7 summer tires managed. Have experienced winter slush and light snow without any grip issues, when the car felt stable and safe, but as I live on the south coast with regular trips to family in Yorkshire, they don’t need to be a dedicated winter tire. Economy unchanged around 45mpg overall, 50mpg on a motorway run. For my use, these have been very impressive and I would be happy to replace them with another set, although there may be even better choices in 3 years when these should be just about done.

Reading the results

Written from the test results and owner reviews above. It is analysis, not a measurement: where it and the tables disagree, the tables are right.

This is a classic “premium all-season all-rounder vs budget-biased all-season” matchup: the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 is engineered to cover every surface with minimal compromises, while the Linglong Sport Master 4S (formerly Grip Master 4S) chases value and lively dry-road performance, accepting bigger trade-offs elsewhere. Across seven shared group tests (multiple sizes and vehicle types), they land in very different parts of the tables-Bridgestone typically top-6 and even winning outright, Linglong usually near the bottom third.

What makes this comparison interesting is that Linglong is not universally outclassed in headline “summer-ish” metrics. It can match or beat the Bridgestone for dry handling in some tests and occasionally nick a braking metric. But when you widen the lens to wet safety margins (especially aquaplaning) and winter capability, the pattern becomes consistent: Bridgestone's performance is broader and more dependable, while Linglong's peaks come with pronounced valleys that matter in real-world year-round driving.

Conclusion

Over the full set of shared tests, the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 is the clearly stronger and safer all-season tire. It wins all 7 overall head-to-heads and repeatedly builds its advantage in the most safety-critical all-season areas: aquaplaning, wet braking consistency, and snow performance. The gaps are not subtle in the conditions where budget all-seasons often fall apart: for example, straight-line aquaplaning is a clean sweep for Bridgestone (7/7), with a huge separation in Auto Express (79.7 km/h vs 71.5 km/h). In snow, Bridgestone also dominates (snow handling 7/7; snow traction 7/7), including large braking margins in the AutoBild tests (e.g., 24.6 m vs 28.0 m in the 2025 crossover/SUV test).

The Linglong Sport Master 4S earns its case primarily on purchase price and a surprisingly capable “dry/wet-biased” feel in milder climates. It's often competitive in dry handling (it's called out as fastest in dry handling in multiple reports) and can be quiet and comfortable in some tests. However, its recurring weaknesses-poor aquaplaning resistance, inconsistent wet braking, and especially weak snow grip/predictability-mean it's hard to recommend as a true one-tire-for-every-season solution unless your winters are genuinely mild and you're buying primarily on cost.

Practical takeaway: if you want an all-season that behaves like a trustworthy year-round tire when conditions turn ugly (heavy rain, slush, real snow), the Bridgestone is the smarter spend; the Linglong is a niche budget pick when you mainly need dry-road competence and accept reduced all-weather safety reserves.

Where this data comes from

Finishing positions and measurements are transcribed from each published test. A test only counts here when both tires ran in it, so every figure was recorded on the same car, size and day as the one it is compared to.

About the TR Score

The Tire Reviews Score rates each tire out of 10 from every independent test result and vetted owner review we hold, so two tires can be compared even before a test has run them together.

Every test published as a Tire Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tires independently since 2007.
