Volkswagen Golf MK6 1.6 tdi Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 given 94% (205-55-16)
Very good tire in all conditions, quiet which is very important to me, very good grip in wet & snow, I didn't push it to limit on dry though. One thing which bothers me is the stiffness of the sidewall/tire, car is significantly harder with them, bumping much more than previous summer tire (Michelin Primacy 3). Other than that I'm very satisfied with this tire, also wear doesn't seem to be an issue, I'm using them 2nd winter and 1 summer between them (around 12k miles/20k kms) and I guess they will last at least the same amount of miles, if not more.

In the wet the car is really confident, even if temperatures drop below 0C degrees Or during snow or mud on the road surface. Dry road grip is excellent, but in high speed corners it can give you the feeling like the car losing its grip. Tested on icy snow and grip was expected from the tests and reviews.

I had these tires fitted on my VW Golf 6 1.6 TDI and I drove on them for about 40k and the remaing trend was about 70% (they were always fitted at the rear). These tires are honest cheap tires very predictable with an average to low grip on all surfaces, the grip difference between dry and wet in barely noticeable since even on dry roads the grip level is quite low. The strong points are the good comfort level and the extreme longevity, I believe it would be possible to drive for at least 80k on these tires rotating them front and rear. I recommend these tires for careful drivers who drive lots of kilomteres per year.

I had these tires on a VW Golf 6 1.6 TDI for 3 years. They are cheap honest tires with excellent wear (after 40k the front tires still had around 50% remaining tread life) and comfortable. On dry roads the grip is always there and they feel perfectly safe. On wet roads after 3 years it's a complete different story, they may lose grip in bends and under breaking. On wet roads you tend to lose confidence in these tires and you feel less secure. Probably the bad results on wet roads are caused by the compound aging badly. I would recommend these tires for extra cautious drivers who replace tires often.

Golf 6, All Season Positively surprised. Got them because of the price and shop recommendations…but afterwards I did a research and realized they are Michelin sister company. They can easily be more expensive for the quality they are offering….

Writing about the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2 given 90% (195-65-15-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 average miles
After having driven pure Summer (Bridgestone Turanza ER300) and Winter (Continental WinterContact TS 850) tires I decided to try an All Season tire and wow what a surprise! The Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2 is the best tire in the wet I've ever driven! Also Comfort is much better than the summer tire and snow grip is on a similar level with the winter tire. Only in dry conditions it lacks feedback and overall grip to the summer tire. Apart from that, best of the 2 worlds! I'd expect around 25k miles / 40k km

Driving on a combination of roads for 18000 easy going miles
Fitted for 2 years now, and, after recent snow, Have experienced all conditions. For general use, excluding very progressive driving, I cannot fault these tires. At first fitting, road noise slightly higher than previous summer Conti's until bedded in. Very impressed with comfort and handling on all road surfaces. Water clearance is good, and, with present tread depth, no aquaplaning. Provide high confidence in snow - yes they will break traction, particularly on cornering, but only when pushed. But they give far greater control than summer tires in snow. On compressed snow/ice their advantages are limited however. Most impressed with wear rate. At 18k, with relaxed driving style, still have 4mm front, 5mm rear, and have just stopped front to rear. As these have directional tread they cannot be switched to alternate sides (for a diagonal switch). I have these also fitted to my Ford S-Max (15). Even more impressed with those - though being 225's gives the comfort. I will certainly be sticking with these and looking forward to the latest upgrade in compound. Having previously been a summer/winter wheel switcher every six months for about five seasons (on my old Galaxy), these really are a great compromise.

These tires have lasted me 30,000 miles at the front, on mixture of country lanes, motorways (mostly) and in the city. They do wear quite quickly compared to some tires, however they are very quiet and comfortable to drive on with good grip both in dry and wet conditions.

I have fitted these wheels in my two cars, Golf VI, 1.6 TDI and BMW 320CI, compared with the previous ones, Brigestone Turanza, give me much more grip in dry and wet, they are quieter, currently have 50,000 km, no problems, in the BMW I replaced a ContiSport Contact, in this case the grip in wet is better, dry are similar, what I have noticed is that at high speeds the steering is less precise. I will repeat wheels in the Golf and in the BMW I will look for something inside Continental. My driving pattern is smooth (not slow).
