Vauxhall 2.0 CDi Tires

Ok, my car is a Vauxhall Astra 2 litre turbo diesel automatic estate. A workhorse that I happen to really really like. Anyhow, I fitted a pair of Davanti DX640’s on the back when the original Continentals needed changing. They were nearly half the price of the Continentals. I did lots of online research to seek out reviews first. And took the plunge. So, I now have 26,000 miles on them, they are still going strong with plenty of tread left yet. I cannot fault them, at all. Grip is great, they are quiet, handles fine and I have not had any issue with them. So today, I have just put a new pair of DX640’s on the front! Look, I know my car is not a performance car or whatever but if you want decent tires for a fair price get them.

Had these fitted to replace front Bridgestone Potenza tires. No comparison! I could feel the front of my car had a lot less grip in botht he dry and the wet. Understeered a lot easier.

Brought car 4 months ago from networkQ tires have lots of tread but ride is a tad firm but road feedback is ok but they are quite noisey on the motorway.Will look at tire reviews site when I change tires again.

I have read various comments on Avon tires such as poor road holding going fast round roundabouts , Driving is about rad conditions not driving on race tracks. Ihave done 8000 miles now and find them ok for general driving less noise than Continental but com paired with price against Continental which gave out at 16000 miles Avon seem better on price than continental.
Avon are ok if you drive with limits maybe not for thoughs who like to drive at 90-100 but for driving up to 80mph are more than ok. Diving in wet and snow have given good grip better than continental . price for price they are a better bet than paying £ 200-230 Tire only for them to last as long a a medium qu laity t re.
