Great grippy tires, on par with the best but half price of bridge stones or conti's only fault is I have to replace every year (6000 miles average and bold with even ware) but as they seem to get cheaper year on year they are unbeatable.

I don't understand those people who say bad thing about this tire. I drive Corrado Vr6 with 190 horsepower and few modifications. I drive very fast and tire is very good. it's not the best i ever drive but it's really good. even in wet conditions.
They maybe drive those tires with dot xx05...

too hard, poor grip in the wet, definitely not uying again. On sharp turns there was a major issue of lift-off oversteer, even on roundabouts in the wet. I'm not a particularly harsh driver but these are a definite no-no. Very hard compound, almost no wear after 5000 miles. Quite noisy too. Only real plus is how they look. They're cheap for a reason!

Bought a set of Nokian WRG2 tires for my son's VW Golv GTI last winter as I was looking after it for him while he was away. Because it had been snowy for a couple of days I had chance to compare these 'winter' tires against the summer ones normally fitted. All I can say is I was 'gob smacked' at the difference on various snow type surfaces, ice slush and just wet. Particularly at the lower temps (7deg and below) there was no comparison. These tires out performed the summer ones in every department. So impressed was I, I bought a set for my car and fitted them a few weeks ago. Having tried to 'spread the news' about how good these 'winter tires' were, I should not have been surprised at there total ignorance about these tires. As with the vast majority of drivers in the UK, they are totally ignorant to the reasons for fitting this type of tire believing they are just for snow and of course, 'we don't get any snow in the UK do we' type remarks. The big question is 'why do we think the only answer to slippery roads is salt'? In conclusion, these tires are 'awesome' most of the time from about November to March even here in the UK!

Fantastic tires - still great even though the price has gone up 70% since I first got them.

Used as every day road tires (although after last winter I am using Hankook Icebear W300s as a winter tire Nov-Mar this winter).

Grip in the dry and warm is fantastic - I haven't used a R888 (or similar), but for road use I can't imagine they'd be much better, and they are miles better than the Falken 912 I used to use.

Grip in the cold and wet is their downfall - aquaplane easily compared to a normal road tire, and slide easily if it gets chilly. Still not unsafe or anything like that, just something to bear in mind.

Seem to give good progression (bear in mind this a FWD road car, so can't comment on power oversteer for example). Also do not squeal!

Feedback is good, and the stiff sidewall helps turn in.

Comfort is OK - same as the ZIEX912 I used to have.

Tire wear is more than acceptable - I commute 70 miles a day on them to give you an idea.
